Announcement   First things first! If I met you and told you to look at my sold items, (to order from), you might need to be on a computer, (or laptop, I think). You may not be able see them on a cell/smart phone!!!
I believe that a smile, or better yet, laughter is really the best! I also believe that the creatures we share this planet with greatly enrich our lives. My goal is to inspire reverence for all living things, and also to bring a smile, (or better yet, a chuckle)!

Everything is lovingly designed and handmade by me in the USA. Check back often as I'm always listing new things!

Send me a message if you want to see something that is not listed! I do not make commissioned pieces but I sometimes take requests as I may have one in stock, or I can also take requests from my sold items. (see my policy on requested items).

*******If you are interested in making a purchase or to request an item, I strongly suggest that you read my policies, especially regarding my methods of payment, tracking/delivery, and time requirements.********

About

I always wanted to be an artist.

My Etsy username/shop name is "freeheart1" but my business name has been "Little Darlins" since 1980. I have been creating things with some form of clay for over 40 years! I discovered polymer clay in the early 1980's. Every single clay item you see here is an original piece, lovingly handmade by me with polymer clay. No molded resin, (or other material), reproductions, (of my original designs), made by myself or anyone else, are sold in this shop! There are some items such as tote bags that carry images of my original clay designs though.

Every item listed in my shop is ready to ship and delivery is usually within three business days anywhere in the USA, but almost never any longer than 4 or 5 business days, (even to the opposite side of the country from here).

I hope you enjoy browsing! Be sure to check back often for new items and if you see something you like but need it in a different form, (focal bead, or pendant instead of pin, for instance), just ask!

*******If you are interested in making a purchase or to request an item, I strongly suggest that you read my policies, especially regarding my methods of payment, and time requirements.********

Also, please read my profile for info about other clay artists whose work has inspired me over the years.

I truly want all of my customers to be happy with their purchases and to find doing business with me a very positive experience. That is my ultimate goal!

Please be aware that if any item on the order that you place with me is reserved for someone other than yourself, the order will NOT be shipped until the matter is cleared up. I will not sell you an item reserved for another person.

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
  • Buy with Apple Pay
  • Pay with Sofort
  • Pay with iDeal
  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
"The buyer must pay at the time the transaction is created" as per Etsy transaction policies for the buyer, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon, (by the buyer and the seller). If an item is purchased and payment is not made or no other arrangements have been made within 3 days, I will cancel the transaction/sale, and re-list the item.

This also applies to an item I have made for you, or that you ask me to hold/reserve for you. In that case, I can not hold an item for more than three days unless proior arrangements have been made and agreed upon, (by both buyer and myself). I can hold an item for longer but I need to know and agree at the time of approval of a specially made item, (within 2 days), and I need the item to be paid for within 3 days, unless other arrangements have been made.

Paypal and direct credit card payment are my methods for payment. Credit cards are also accepted through paypal without having to set up an account.
Shipping
Currently, for shipping in the continental USA, I charge $3.00 (for the first item), and then .25 for each additional item in the transaction/purchase. For international purchases, the first item is a minimum $6.50, (or more depending on location, ask in advance of purchase), with .25 for each additional item.

I would like to ship within 2 business days of payment confirmation, (by e-mail from Etsy for credit cards, e-mail from Paypal). The only reason that shipment might be delayed is if I am unavailable, (I still do a LOT of travel to various art shows). I will do my best.

*******Attention International customers: In general, I only ship to the continental USA, BUT International shipping may be possible on a case by case basis. I will not misrepresent any information on the customs forms! You alone, (as the buyer), are responsible for any VAT required by your governing bodies and for any fees, taxes, and duties associated with shipping & purchasing required by your respective countries. I am not responsible for any additional charges that can arise during importing my items to your country. Also, there is NO TRACKING available once the package leaves the continental USA. If the item is tracked to the export city, here in the US, I am not responsible after that point if the item goes missing and is not delivered. So far, this has not happened., but it does take quite a while for items to ship internationally.

****IMPORTANT**** I always purchase "Tracking" on all packages mailed in the USA. If the USPS declares your purchase as "Delivered" I can/will not be responsible if a package goes missing.
Refunds and Exchanges
I guarantee your satisfaction on any item you purchase as long as I am notified of any problems within 5 days of receipt of your order and ANY returns must be post-marked 7 days or less after receiving your order. I will replace items damaged in shipping but not those irreparably damaged by other means.

If the items are not damaged and you have simply changed your mind then the terms are the same as above. I may agree to refund the price of the item, but in the case that you have just changed your mind, I will not refund the original shipping cost.

In addition, if you wish to return a non damaged item for a prearranged refund or exchange you must pay the postage to return the item, and the postage on the item it is exchanged for.
Additional policies and FAQs
******** REQUESTED ITEM TERMS********

Here's how it works:

I DO NOT DO SPECIFIC "CUSTOM" WORK. I CAN TAKE REQUESTS FOR ITEMS THAT I ORDINARILY DO, SPECIFICALLY ANYTHING IN MY "SOLD ITEMS" SECTION. MANY ARE "ONE OF A KIND" SO I CAN'T DUPLICATE, I CAN ONLY MAKE SOMETHING SIMILAR. I MAY TAKE A REQUEST FOR A SUBJECT I HAVEN'T MADE BUT ONLY IN MY STYLE, AND IN KEEPING WITH MATERIALS WHICH I USE. I DO NOT DO SOMEONE ELSE'S DESIGN, NOR DO I MAKE COPYRIGHTED DESIGNS OR PORTRAITS, (SPECIFICALLY, NO PET PORTRAITS). EXAMPLE: I WILL DO MY CAT DESIGN IN YOUR CAT COLORS.

After agreeing on the item and price, I will make the requested piece and then send you an image for approval. This can take from 2 days up to two weeks or more depending on my show schedule unless we make other time specific arrangements. There is no pre-pay, no obligation to buy, but my policy is approve or decline within two days after you receive the image. If you approve, I will then make a reserved listing asap for you in my shop and hold the item up to three days for final purchase, (unless you and I both agree to a different time frame).

If I do not hear from you by the end of the two days, (after you receive the image of the item), OR if the purchase/transaction is not completed by the end of the three days, (after the item is approved and reserved listing made), the item may then be listed in my shop, (or offered at a show), as an open item for anyone to purchase .
