Since the dawn of time, the gold thread adorns and beautifies the most valuable works of art. The refinement and elegance of metallic embroidery is based on an ancestral know-how cultured through the centuries.The art of gold thread embroidery was practised all over Europe, but reached its most advanced form in France during the 15th-16th centuries. Or Nué or nuance of gold is a french embroidery technique using fine metal thread, or pair of threads, is laid in close rows on the surface of the fabric. The metal threads are couched in place using fine threads, usually silk or cotton to create a design. The ecclesiastical and military vestments richly used this form of ornament to demonstrate its social status. Also in Royal circles and rich aristocratic families, for them it was an demonstrative feature of wealth and power. All metal components handled in our workshop are gold plated and represents the highest standard of Gold Embroidery. Gold 2% WM is the highest standard gold thread that can be purchased for Goldwork. 2% gold is also known as Admiralty or Government standard and are 2% gold plating on white metal (WM)

I accept PayPal, which is a secure online payment system. Payment must be received within two days of purchase or the order will be cancelled.
Shipping
Please allow between 1-2weeks for your item to be shipped.International orders will be shipped via La poste. Please contact me promptly if you would like a different shipping method on your international order. International customers may be required to pay customs duty on some larger packages. Please be aware that any applicable customs taxes & duties are the responsibility of the recipient.
Refunds and Exchanges
If an item has been delayed in arrival, please let me know! No refunds or replacements will be made until 6 weeks of non delivery from date of shipment has passed. This is because it can take up to six weeks for international orders to arrive at their destination.
