The planning phase of a custom wedding map! Pencil first, then when it's approved, I go on to ink and then the final step of watercolor!

About

Creative + Analytical = Stationery Design

What began as a career in mechanical engineering has blossomed into a career in stationery design. I'm the kind of person who enjoys doing new things, and learning. Always learning! I love a good challenge. My math and science skills led me into a degree of mechanical engineering in college, where I loved the constant growing and stretching of my mind. When I first graduated, I took a job at a large company, but it wasn't a good fit. The church we attended at the time was in need of a science and math teacher, so I took the job and taught high school for 4 years.

Once my daughter was born, it was difficult to keep working outside the home. I began learning how to design and started submitting my designs to Minted.com. I still enjoy learning and submitting there, but I decided I'd also start my own brand, Fresh Cut Prints. It's the ideal career for me - it's always new, always evolving, and I can apply my technical skills through Adobe Illustrator. I love pushing the limits of what can be designed between raster and vector elements. The technical side of my brain enjoys understanding the details of bleeds, pixel dimensions, and proper anchor placement. Designing also feeds my creative side, and allows me to interact with some amazing people! I've met so many other wonderful designers and clients so far, and I look forward to becoming friends with many more.

    Owner, Designer

I'm Erin, the creator and owner of Fresh Cut Prints. I live in Pittsburgh, PA raising my two daughters with my wonderful husband.

Production partners

  • A Professional Printer

    Hayden, ID

While all designs are created by hand by me, I realize that my expertise is not in printing. My printing partner utilizes state-of-the-art printers for the best possible digital printing results that are far beyond what my home printer could produce.

  • A Professional Photo Lab

    Columbia, MO

While Fresh Cut Prints creates our own designs from scratch, we allow the pros to do the printing.

  • a digital printing service

    Phoenix, AZ

I chose my mug printing partner due to their expertise and dye sublimation process. I'm thrilled to partner with a company who believes in excellent quality and providing great service to designers.

  • a digital printing service

    Pelham, AL

I chose my printing partner due to their outstanding paper and ink choices and high quality digital printing. Their small family-owned business is rooted in honesty, integrity and old-fashioned hard work.

  • a laser engraving service

    Bettendorf, IA

I chose my laser engraving company after testing many different options. This company provides excellent quality stamps with beautiful engraving on the wood and excellent fine details on the rubber stamp. They provide quick and great service.
