We work together to make the Freshy Fig line of jewelry as fun and accessible as possible. We want everyone to be able to wear pieces that help express their individuality without breaking the bank. Jewelry pendants and chain are re-used in many of the vintage necklaces and we use recyclable supplies when possible. Being eco-friendly is very important to this shop!

Freshy Fig is about sustainable quality. Re-purposing is my philosophy. We re-use bags and packaging whenever possible as well as using recycled content jewelry boxes, so that you can feel good about your purchase.

CARE TIPS:
Please take care of your jewelry by keeping it clean and away from water, soaps and lotions. Store your pieces in a dry location - preferably an airtight bag for sterling and brass. If the piece gets something on it, wipe clean immediately. We like Sunshine All Metal polish cloths or a soft flannel shirt. You can polish your sterling, bronze or brass pieces up to a high glossy shine or allow them to darken and age. It's up to you.

Payment
We accept credit cards directly through Etsy direct checkout and Paypal. Payment is due before the item is shipped. For custom orders, I require at least 50% of the payment upfront to help cover the cost of supplies.
Shipping
GENERAL INFO:
Items ship via USPS First Class mail with tracking. There is an option to add insurance to your FIRST CLASS STANDARD package for $1-2 at checkout. We highly recommend purchasing the insurance as it covers shipping for USPS in case of loss or damage. Priority Mail and Express Mail include insurance and are available as options at checkout for both US and International orders. Please check our current processing times on the shop announcement on the first page of the shop or on your order before checking out to have an idea of when your item will ship out. Processing time is the time it takes us to make the item before shipment.
Please be sure you enter the correct address at checkout on your Etsy order. Any changes to an address put your package at risk for human error. We cannot be held responsible for address change errors. If your package is returned because of an incorrect address, there is a $4 re-shipment cost that is paid directly to USPS for the re-shipment.

TRACKING:
Tracking will be emailed to the address connected to your Etsy account when the package is shipped. The tracking can also be accessed on your order in your Etsy account. Packages are hand delivered to the post office, after which I cannot assume responsibility for lost or delayed items if you haven't purchased insurance.

USPS LOST or FROZEN TRACKING on PACKAGES:
We highly recommend purchasing insurance for first class mail. If USPS hasn't delivered your package or the tracking seems to be frozen in transit, there is a 30 day wait period from the time the package last moved before it can be deemed lost. Many packages need time to work their way through the USPS system or need time to be returned to the sender if the label was damaged. This is rare but does happen.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
International shipments normally take between 7-14 business days to deliver, depending on the customs agency in the recipient's country. Sometimes packages may be randomly held for inspection for up to 45 days and I have no control over these agencies or their activities.
Refunds and Exchanges
RETURN AND EXCHANGE POLICY:
Please contact us within 2 weeks of receiving your item if you would like to return it for a refund. Refunds are given in the payment form we received less the shipping cost. Exchanges are accepted for up to 60 days after purchase. Refunds cannot be given on personalized items. If we have made an error, we are more than happy to fix it and pay for shipping both ways, please contact us at customercare [!at] freshyfig.com. We are more than happy to take care of arrangements to fix the situation.

When sending a return or exchange, please make sure the item is appropriately protected and bagged so that it doesn't arrive back tangled and dented. We recommend a jewelry box and bubble mailer, just as it arrived to you. If an item is sent back improperly and gets damaged, we cannot be held responsible for a refund.

MY ITEM BROKE:
We are more than happy to fix or exchange a broken item for free for up to 2 months after purchase as an insurance policy to you! If it broke within 30 days of purchase, we will cover shipping both ways.

ITEM IS MISSING OR DAMAGED:
Please note that we offer standard shipping with insurance as a shipment option at checkout. Insurance covers the loss of an item in the mail and costs $1 additional within the US and $1.95 internationally. The insurance will also cover any potential damages caused by USPS during shipment. We cannot be held responsible for uninsured packages after they have been scanned into the post office.

CUSTOM ORDERS (not including stamped items) require a $5 restocking fee for materials and labor used. Many times the chain or materials cannot be re-used and labor costs have been lost.

IT IS RECOMMENDED TO KEEP JEWELRY AWAY FROM SALT WATER, CHLORINE, SAUNA OR ANY CHEMICALS SUCH AS HAIRSPRAY, PERFUME, OILS, LOTIONS, ETC. USE A POLISHING CLOTH (ON SOLID METALS ONLY) TO CLEAN AND KEEP SHINY.


GOLD CARE
PROPER CARE OF YOUR GOLD JEWELRY WILL ASSURE A LONG-LASTING GLOW. GOLD IS TARNISH-RESISTANT, BUT IT CAN GET DIRTY OR SMUDGED. EVERY SO OFTEN, CLEAN YOUR GOLD JEWELRY WITH A POLISHING CLOTH OR SOAP AND WATER THEN PAT DRY.


SILVER CARE
SILVER IS A BEAUTIFUL PRECIOUS METAL AND TARNISHING DOES HAPPEN AFTER CONTINUOUS WEAR FROM CONTACT WITH MOISTURE/OILS FROM THE SKIN, THINGS YOU MAY USE LIKE PERFUME FOR EXAMPLE, LOTIONS AND EXPOSURE TO THE NATURAL ELEMENTS. CLEAN WITH A STERLING CLEANER OR POLISHING CLOTH.

BRONZE CARE
BRONZE IS A METAL THAT CONSISTS OF A MIXTURE OF COPPER, TIN AND ZINC GIVING IT THAT GOLD TONE AND LOOK WITHOUT THE EXPENSIVE COST OF GOLD. MAKING IT VERY AFFORDABLE TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS A LOVELY CLASSIC PIECE OF JEWELRY. JUST LIKE MOST METALS, BRONZE TENDS TO OXIDIZE AND TARNISH MORE EASILY THAN PRECIOUS METALS FROM EVERYDAY WEAR AND BEING EXPOSED TO THE NATURAL ELEMENTS. A JEWELRY CLOTH OR SOMETHING ACIDIC LIKE LEMON JUICE OR KETCHUP IS A GREAT WAY TO CLEAN BRONZE.

JEWELRY CLEANING
TO KEEP AND MAINTAIN YOUR JEWELRY THIS IS RECOMMENDED EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE DEPENDING ON THE CONDITION. THERE MAY BE A CASE WHERE THERE WAS A REACTION TO A CERTAIN CHEMICAL THAT WAS KNOWINGLY OR UNKNOWINGLY USED, CAUSING THE JEWELRY TO TARNISH WHICH MAY NEED A MORE INTENSE CLEANING. IF FURTHER ASSISTANCE IS NEEDED YOU ARE WELCOME TO SEND THEM TO US AND WE CAN TAKE CARE OF IT FOR A SMALL FEE DEPENDING ON THE CASE.

What is the length of the necklace in the photo? What is the size of the pendant?

Size of pendant and lengths pictured on the model are found in the description of each item by clicking on the "item details." We list all pictured lengths for your convenience!

How do I clean my necklace?

14kt rose and yellow gold filled, Sterling silver and raw brass can all be cleaned with the polishing pad included in your package. Be cautious when using the cloth on plated metals, it isn't meant for these items. A light swipe is all that is recommended.

Do you use eco friendly packaging?

We use eco friendly recycled material mailers and boxes that can actually be recycled again! The paper we use is purchased from a non profit and is re-used from local businesses. We try to support Scrap and the Rebuilding Center, both local non-profits, whenever we need supplies. You can feel good about your purchases from us! We cherish the earth!

How do I tell you what I want stamped? Or how do I explain a modification?

Please leave your customizing instructions in the "add an optional note to seller" box on the checkout page. To find out what you should include, please refer to the "item details" for your specific item. We included all of the necessary details.

Do you do gift wrapping?

Each item comes ready for gift giving with jewelry box, ribbon, card and if appropriate, a polishing cloth. All personalized jewelry comes with a polishing pad. We DO NOT include a receipt in the package in case the item is going directly to the recipient. We do not gift wrap but the packaging is clean and elegant.
