About

A maker's tale

I started my shop as soon as I heard about Etsy, in 2008. Since I'm a person who has to make something every day, my shop is a perfect outlet. For me, my shop is about my mother. She was very creative and was always busy, sewing our clothing or knitting. She's always have her hands busy and we, my sisters and I, assumed that's the way it was for everyone; a mom who stayed up late finishing a dress so we'd have something special to wear on a date, or for a party. I feel that I'm honoring my mother by making and sharing what I make. Mom is now 98 and has not only forgotten that her nickname was Fritzi, but has forgotten about everything. She gave us our love for fabric, and yarn, and the joy of creating something with your own two hands. Cheers, Mom!

I started making things when I was very young. My mother was a maker before me. I teach, I learn, I encourage, I share.
