About

Glad you Stopped in!

So glad to meet you, even if the conversation is one sided. But if you stopped by and paused to read my bio, then you have met me and have had an exchange. So let me offer you a chair and a cup of hot tea. I am always amazed that people want to get to know the person behind the art. You may have seen me in Somerset Digital Studio , or some of my work located through out the internet at my various stores. I have created logos for companies and designs for personal blogs.
How did you get started? Why do you have that name? When will you post more? You don't have what I want can you do orders? I see there are loads of questions and perhaps I have some answers.
First question: I have wondered that most of my life. I guess it all started with my Mother. She too was an artist and she is successful also. I would sit in her studio as a small child and beg for paper and "colors". I guess I have always been a creator just needing the proper medium to convey my thoughts.
Second question: Ahhhh the name. Well I have had that name or at least part of it for .... well for a while (no need to get to personal with age) Frog was a nickname that my mother came up with and I liked it. Resilient little creatures. As for the jeweled part well one must have a touch of sparkle.
The last two questions: Now I love working in Mixed Media. A great way to get those thoughts out on any type of media. I primarily work in digital creations. Using repeated patterns and then overlaying them together to create complicated backgrounds and designs. These designs can be used in all types of creative projects.
I do like working with others and designing for others as long as there is a clear defined path. That helps to get what both parties want. I have worked with several people to created some great designs for their parties or cards or for other items that they create.
I post as I create and I work every day. So stop by often.

Vintage, old papers and clip art work attracts me. There is just something about creations of long ago. But not all the time do they fit in with todays look. That is where I love changing them and creating something that can be brought forward. I love making them useful again and ageless.
