Welcome to FrostForged! My name is Nathan Frost. I create custom armor pieces out of various materials, including chainmail, plate, scale, leather, and ring. My philosophy is generally to mix historical creation processes with today's technology. I do a lot of work in stainless steel instead of the more historically-accurate mild steel, because it means less maintenance and more long-term durability. However, I'm willing to work with any metal or material to create the perfect piece for you.

Please be aware that this is a time consuming process! I'm an attorney, and I have a full-time job outside of making armor. Depending on the complexity of your project, it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months to complete, so please be patient. I am more than happy to provide weekly or bi-weekly photos of the progress I have made, so you can be sure your interests are being served. If you have a deadline, I will do my best to accommodate your needs, and let you know ahead of time if I think I will be unable to produce the item in time.

Typically, to determine cost and time of creation, I will need the following information:

1. What type of armor? Plate, chain, scale, leather, ring, or some combination?
2. What material? If metal, what type? If leather, how thick?
3. Your measurements, potentially including:
Shoulder width
Upper Arm

Of course, you don't have to have all that ready when we first talk. Just have an idea; a picture in your head or drawn out, or something you found online. Once we're on the same page as to what you want, I'll ask you for the specifics. Contact me through Conversations, let me know what type of piece you're looking for, and we'll go from there!

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
Refunds: Finalized, shipped and delivered projects are non-refundable.

RESIZING OR REPAIR: If a resizing or repair from normal wear and tear is required, I will do it for free as long as you cover shipping costs. Be forewarned, "normal wear and tear" does NOT include complete or irreparable destruction.
I ONLY accept Paypal. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Cancellation Policy: If you decide at some point during the production process BEFORE SHIPMENT that you are dissatisfied or want your money back, I will return the cost of the item MINUS the irredeemable costs I have incurred for raw materials. For instance, if you pay $2,000.00 for a custom chainmail hauberk, but decide three weeks later that you don't really want it, I will refund you $1,500.00 if I have already purchased and begun working on $500.00 worth of rings, as they can no longer be returned. If I have completed a project but have not shipped it and you wish to cancel, I will keep a fee of 5% of the total sale price as a storage fee, and refund the rest.
Shipping to the continental United States (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico) is included in the listed sale price.

Prices will be adjusted for shipping outside the United States.

I use USPS Certified Mail. If you want another service used, let me know ahead of time and I will adjust the price accordingly.
