Hey There!

I'm Jules, a Montreal illustrator with a love for make-believe worlds and child-like wonder! I hand-draw every product in my shop and take pride in every item I make for my customers.

My design style is playful, crafty and fun. I want my products to transport your little ones into their favorite make-believe world.

My Story
Ironically, I dreamed up Funkissd during a time when things were not-so-fun. I was 22, completing my bachelors degree in Psychology, and working a part-time job selling home decor. It felt like the opposite of what everyone tells you about your 20's- the "best years" of your life. Something had to change, so I set myself out on a mission to make my everyday life more fun!

I always loved birthday parties and events, so I bought an Elsa and Olaf costume on a whim and convinced my boyfriend, Frankie, to start a birthday party entertainment business with me. It all seemed great in theory, except for one little problem- Frankie and I can't act or sing!

After booking a few parties, we decided it was best to leave party entertainment to the pros, but after we stopped entertaining, customers kept calling me to design custom party supplies. I spent my nights designing party supplies for customers, and even though sleep felt like a long-lost friend, I was finally having fun!

Fast forward 3 years, I now operate Funkissd full-time and spend my days illustrating new party themes and photographing dessert tables. At Funkissd, I wear all the hats; I'm the illustrator, stylist, photographer, marketer, and yes, I'm also the janitor! On the weekend, you can find me on a road trip with Frankie while listening to 70's bops or blogging about parties at a local cafe.
