Crochet and knit addict with a love of bright colors.

I taught myself how to knit when I was 13 and my mom taught me how to crochet when I was 17. While I can do both, crocheting is by far my favorite. A few of the crocheted items in my shop were actually made with knitting patterns that I adapted to use for crocheting.

I started this business because I love to make things, but there's only so many scarves and hats I can keep myself or give away to my family. I am a part of a prayer shawl ministry at church, which helps some, but sometimes, especially in the summer months, I'd much rather work on something that can be finished quickly and isn't bulky.

When I crochet, I like to do the pattern the way it's written at least once. After that first time, I often end up tweaking something to make it more unique. As I mentioned before, sometimes that means after knitting something, I figure out a way to crochet the same thing. Other times, it involves tweaking the way a border is done so that the scarf lays flatter,

As I mentioned in my heading, I love bright colors. That's what attracted me to some of the patterns I have used for items in my shop, especially the Long Stripes Scarf. I think bright colors are a good way to help brighten up your day, and I know that that's something I need.

I'm also a fan of using up as much of my yarn as I possibly can. If you browse through my items, you may very well notice smaller projects, like the pencil toppers and jellyfish, that match larger ones, like some of the scarves. In some of my photographs, I have begun to highlight that by placing two or more items made with the same yarn into one picture.
