Amazing artistry. I envy your skill, but glad I was able to buy it. Terrific packaging to ensure the safety of the piece and fast shipping.

The mug arrived well packed, on time and in perfect shape. The mug is even more beautiful in hand than in the photo. It was a present and has become the favorite mug for drinking beer. He particularly likes the way the lacing shows against the interior glaze. Well done, Lori!

About

Little did I know, I would never grow up.

I fell in love with pottery when I was a junior in high school. This love of creating clay forms led me to decide that I was going to be a potter when I grew up. I was accepted at The New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University based on my portfolio work.

Little did I know, I would never grow up.

After leaving school, I traveled around the country in a 1971 Pinto with extended stays in New York, Virginia, Wisconsin and Birmingham. I eventually settled in Atlanta, GA where I tried for 27 years to live the life expected of me, working corporate jobs and such.

I have finally returned to the wheel and to the career that has been calling to me to get “back down to Earth.” I now throw at my studio in East Atlanta Village . My award-winning works have been shown in juried shows in the New York and Atlanta Metro areas including the the Inman Park Festival and the Telephone Factory Lofts Art Show.

Welcome,

Thanks for visiting! Here is some information on my process and shipping return policies.

The process of creating a pot is quite labor intensive. Some pieces can take up to seven hours to complete not including the twenty three hours of firing time in the kiln and many hours of drying between steps. My work is all handmade using a potter's wheel; no two pieces are alike. I use various stoneware clay bodies and porcelains that are fired from a range of cone 4 to cone 6; I use various firing methods (gas, electric, raku, sag gar, pit...) depending on the piece. All drawings on my pottery are my original artwork.

Some of the pieces may seem irregular in shape. This is intentional. I want evidence of the hand making to remain an integral part of my work.

All of my ceramics are made with lead-free materials and are food safe unless otherwise noted. Raku, pit fired and saggar-fired pieces are decorative only and should not be used to food or to contain liquids.

The cookware can be used in the microwave or regular oven but should be gently brought to room temperature if the pot has been refrigerated.

This is handmade art, hand washing is highly recommended to retain the finish but the functional ware can be washed in a dishwasher unless otherwise noted.

Below is my shipping and refund policies. Please have a look at them before purchasing anything. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks again for shopping with me!
