...began over a decade ago with a chance encounter: a girl, an open air antique market in the hills of West Virginia, and a fabulous piece of Blenko glass. The COLOR! The CURVES! I was hopelessly hooked. And while it all began with Blenko, those sparkling gems of genius proved merely a gateway drug. From there, I moved on to Empoli cased glass, and then to Murano, then into Europe at large. Thousands of pieces of glass and hundreds of hours of research later, I just had to share the wonders of this beautiful obsession with the world.

If you've collected mid-century art glass over the last decade, chances are, you're already our customer! GLASSpheme takes over from Pachuco’s Cadavers, which sold thousands of pieces of glass via the web and eBay between 2005 and 2014. After a brief hiatus, we’re back—with a new (probably not much better) name--GLASSpheme! However, we still adhere to the same strict standards of service and ethics that keep our customers coming back.

1) We know glass and never misrepresent a piece’s origin, age, maker, and provenance--not knowingly, anyway. (If we’re not sure, we’ll make an educated guess—but we’ll always be clear about our level of certainty.) But—if we based our representation of your glass purchase on, say, a collector's publication or well-known auction company, and you later find a more reliable source that proves us wrong (e.g. an original manufacturer’s catalog featuring the item), there is NO statute of limitations on returns!

2) If you don’t LOVE it, no problem—send it back within 14 days of receipt and we’ll refund your money minus actual shipping costs. (If the item wasn't as we described, you won't be out a penny--just let us know and we'll send a pre-paid return shipping label.)

3) Properly packaged glass, in our opinion, doesn't get damaged: Not ONE of our customers has ever received a box of tinkling glass shards from us. Nevertheless, there's a first time for everything (plus we probably jinxed ourselves here) and our shipments are always fully insured. In the ridiculously unlikely event your purchase arrives damaged, just email us a photo (and whatever other info our carrier may require) and your refund is on its way.
