Another homerun with tenmoku. And the firing gods were with you in their effect on this thinly thrown magnificent bowl. The fluidity in the shape is superb. I LOVE THIS BOWL.

I simply cannot get enough of Shawn's crawly stuff. Another great yunomi. The interior is all ablaze!!!

Shawn, you really have become a master of the crawling shino. And now adding dimension and mystery and surprise to the form with the other glazes...well...I am in heaven. This bowl has some real personality. I see you in it. The celadon interior was a stroke of genius.

Tenmoku is always so desirable but it is often marred with too much crazing, or weird flows in and about the clay create disruptions to its energy. I have a lot of tenmoku-glazed pots because I love it so, but I have very few such pots that show the true silken, oily, unblemished depth of field that this pot shows in its glaze. Matched up with its serene form, I can stare into the interior of this bowl for long spans of time and feel relaxed.

This is a new form to me. I love its directness and simplicity. The bisque is so natural and beautiful.

This is a very understated and useful bowl. The colors are subtle but distinct. There is a lot of wisdom and humility implied in this bowl...sometimes less is more.

The yunomi is fabulous. The shino is so dimensional, as though clay was built up and applied. Yet is is not heavy or stifling. I LOVE this cup. The texture is way sexy.

das Yuzamashi ist schön, liegt gut in der Hand und ist dabei ganz leicht, eine sehr schöne Handarbeit

Working on some tea boats for the next firing :) these are fun!!
A small change will be coming soon in the way I mark my pots. I've decided I will start using the kanji for my Dharma name, Dai Rin or Great Wheel as my maker's mark in the future. I love how clean the mark looks!!
