About

I opened my shop in August 2014 with the Star Wars themed Birthday Party printables that I designed for my son's birthday parties. I started adding printables that I wish were available when I was planning my son's parties. Being able to spend some of my spare time coming up with new creative ideas that can help others has been a great experience. I now get buyers from all around the world which is just amazing.

INFORMATION FOR MAC USERS
---------------------------------------------------------------
Files will need to be opened in Adobe Reader not the default Mac PDF viewer called Preview. Mac users can download & install Adobe Reader from this link: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

I recommend launching Adobe Reader first and then opening my files directly from Adobe Reader itself (don't just double-click on the file as this will open it in Preview even if you have Adobe Reader installed).

INFORMATION FOR WINDOWS USERS
---------------------------------------------------------------
My files will need to be opened in Adobe Reader and not the default PDF viewer called Reader. Windows users can download & install Adobe Reader to their Desktop from this link: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Do not install the Adobe Reader App from the App Store as this is different than the regular Adobe Reader program - download from the above link only.

I recommend launching Adobe Reader first and then opening my files directly from Adobe Reader itself (don't just double-click on the file as this will open it in the default Reader program even if you have Adobe Reader installed).

My files will only work in Adobe Reader. Most computers will already have Adobe Reader installed – but please check that you are using the latest version! It's FREE and you can download it here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

➤ HOW DO I PERSONALIZE THE FILES?
Simply open the PDF files in Adobe Reader, select/highlight my sample text and start typing in your own wording - it's that easy.

➤ DO I NEED TO INSTALL ANY FONTS?
No, all fonts are already embedded within the files. All you need to do is open the files in Adobe Reader and start typing over my sample text.

➤ CAN I SAVE MY CHANGES?
Yes, you can save any changes you make.

➤ WILL THEY WORK ON AN IPHONE, IPAD, TABLET, MOBILE DEVICE?

No, Adobe Reader won't allow you to change any colors, graphics, backgrounds etc. Plus, my files are secured and you will not be able to open them in any graphic design program to alter them.

➤ CAN I PRINT AT A PHOTO LAB?
No, my files are not JPEGs and cannot be printed at a photo lab as a photo. You will have to convert to JPEG first.

To convert from PDF to JPEG do one of the following:

(a) Use web-based service that will convert PDF files to JPEG such as http://pdf2jpg.net/

(b) Open the PDF Invitation and do a screen capture (screen print) of the invitation and save the resulting image as a JPEG.

(c) Open the PDF in an Image editing tool such as Gimp (free), Photoshop, or Pixelmator and then save as JPEG.

(d) For Mac OS X, open PDF with Preview app and choose File > Export. Select format of JPEG and then Save.

➤ CAN I PRINT AT A COPY SHOP?
Yes, you can print your files at a copy shop such as Office Depot, Staples, FedEx Kinkos etc. Use self service printers if print shop will not print items for you.

➤ WHAT PAPER SHOULD I USE TO PRINT?
The printable invitations are formatted for US Letter sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches). For best results, I recommend that the invitations be printed on Cardstock or WHITE heavyweight Matte Photo paper.

➤ CAN I PRINT THE FILES OUT AT A LARGER SIZE
No, my files will only be able to be printed at their original size and not at a larger size. This is due to the security settings on the files.

➤ I WANT TO SEND MY INVITATION OUT BY EMAIL - CAN I DO THIS?
Yes, you can but you will need to convert the PDF file to JPEG first. You cannot email out the editable PDF file.

➤ CAN I PRINT ON AVERY LABEL/STICKER PAPER
No, my files aren’t formatted to print on any kind of pre-formatted or pre-cut label paper. If you wish to print as stickers on label paper, print on FULL-PAGE sticker/label paper and trim out the designs after printing.

➤ HOW MANY TIMES CAN I DOWNLOAD?
There are currently no restrictions on the amount of times you can download the files.

➤ WILL MY PRINTED PAGES BE THE SAME COLOR THAT I CAN SEE ON MY COMPUTER SCREEN?
Generally you will see variations in the color of your printed files from what you can see on your computer screen. This is because not only do the colors vary from monitor to monitor, but will also vary depending on the type of paper you choose, your printer and your printer settings.

➤ FONTS DON'T LOOK THE SAME AS IN YOUR LISTING - I THOUGHT THEY WERE EMBEDDED IN THE FILES
The fonts you see in my listings ARE embedded in the templates. If you do not see the same fonts, you have opened your template in a program other than Adobe Reader (or in your Internet Browser). Please download a new copy of your template from your Etsy Downloads page and make sure to open it in Adobe Reader only.

➤ THE COLORS IN MY FILE AREN'T PRINTING OUT AS I EXPECTED
My files do not change from order to order - the color your file prints out will vary depending on which printer you use, the type of paper used and your printer settings. Here are some things to try to improve your color output:

● First check that you are printing from ADOBE READER only! Printing from other programs will often result in strange colors!

● Print on Matte Photo Paper or card stock for best color. Printing on different or lesser quality types of paper can drastically change the colors even when using the same printer.

● Make sure to check the level of ink in your ink cartridges.

● Ensure you select the the correct type of paper in the Print Settings of the Print Dialog Box (e.g. don't select photo paper if you are printing on card stock).

● Ensure that you have selected the best quality print settings in the Print Dialog Box.

● Try selecting the "Print as Image" checkbox (found by clicking on the Advanced button in the Adobe Reader print dialog box). Selecting this can help with color correction on some printers.

➤ I CANT OPEN THE ZIP FILE - I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT THE FILE IS DAMAGED
You will receive this message if you attempt to open your ZIP file directly in Adobe Reader. ZIP files cannot be opened in Adobe Reader - they need to be unzipped first.

To unzip on a PC you will need to have a program like WINZIP or 7-Zip to unzip your files. On a Mac you can double click on the ZIP file and it will unzip automatically. Once your file is unzipped, navigate to your unzipped folder and open the individual pages in Adobe Reader.

➤ I AM BEING ASKED FOR A PASSWORD
If you are being asked for a password you are trying to open your file in a program other than Adobe Reader. Please check which program you are using and open your file in Adobe Reader only – you do not need a password to open the template in Adobe Reader.

➤ I CAN'T SEE ANY TEXT IN MY FILE
This happens if you open your file on an iPad, iPod, iPhone, tablet or other mobile device – your file will not work on any of these devices. Please download your files from your desktop or laptop computer and then open in Adobe Reader.

➤ I CAN'T CHANGE THE TEXT IN MY FILE
This happens if you open your file on an iPad, iPod, iPhone, tablet or other mobile device – your file will not work on any of these devices. Please download your files from your desktop or laptop computer and then open in Adobe Reader.

➤ I WANT TO CHANGE THE SIZE OF MY TEXT
To do this, simply highlight the text you want to make bigger or smaller, press Control+E (or Command+E on a Mac) to bring up the Text Properties Toolbar, and then change the size of your text using the Toolbar.

➤ I CAN'T ACCESS THE TOOLBAR TO CHANGE MY TEXT SIZE
This may occur if you have the file open in your Internet Browser or a program other than Adobe Reader. Download and save your file to a folder on your computer and open the file directly from Adobe Reader only.

This may also occur if the text field you are trying to edit is an “Auto-Fit Field” where any text you enter will automatically resize to fit the space. You cannot manually change the text size in these fields.
