Natural, Handmade Toys from GardenBirdie
I just love to make natural toys! I am passionate about the handmade tradition and find it thrilling to create playthings using items from nature.
I handcraft each GardenBirdie stuffed animal using the highest quality materials, including soft Merino wool felt, locally-sourced wool stuffing, European cotton thread, and hand dyed felted wool.
GardenBirdie toys are made from safe, earth-friendly renewable resources. They are soft, simple, and open-ended to inspire imaginative play.
As a stay-at-home mom, I sew in the evenings while my children are sleeping. Buying from GardenBirdie means you are helping to support my family of five, plus the many local U.S.-based businesses that supply my materials.
Owner, Maker, Designer
I fell in love with the handmade tradition when sewing wool toys for my children. I am delighted each time one of my creations makes its way into the home and the heart of another little one!

To clean your natural toy, fill a sink with cool to barely warm water. Use a small amount of liquid soap (dish soap will work just fine). Soak the toy for 10 minutes or so. Drain the water from the sink and press excess water from toy (don't wring or rub). Rinse soap from toy. Again, press excess water out. Roll in a towel to remove even more water, and air dry.
