Note from shop owner Hello! I'm taking a little hiatus for the rest of the summer as my other work is keeping me much too busy to make earrings and still play outside. So see you back here come the fall!

Warmly,

About

Simple Beginnings

While at college, Sarah wanted to make a present for one of her dearest friends. Because her friend loved cows, she decided to sculpt some bovine beads that she then made into earrings with materials from her younger beading days. She had so much fun with it that she began to think of objects she loved and wanted to wear on her own ears. She began with tomatoes and peas made from salt dough because it was less expensive and also lighter than potter’s clay.

Sarah continued doing this for a while and a couple of years later while visiting a local shop, its owner caught sight of the peas dangling from her ears and inquired about them. The shop owner then proceeded to encourage Sarah to make more and sell them in her shop. After being asked during several subsequent visits, Sarah decided to give it a try. She switched her material to a longer lasting, light weight, air drying clay and expanded the variety of fruits and vegetables she sculpted. The earrings were a big success, prompting Sarah to create Garden’s Glory Designs which she plans to use as a platform for all of her garden inspired crafts!
