0 Gauge Onyx and Deer Hide Plugs in Silver

Myth. Stone. Metal

I've always been an avid stone collector and artist of some sort. After discovering silversmithing, making silver plugs was a no-brainer. For years I would have to suffice with basic steel, wood, or acrylic gauged ware for those of us who have stretched ear lobes. For years I was left wanting for more intricate designs and rare quality materials. Starting this shop as a side shop to my main gig, The Stray Arrow, has been a highlight in my life. Not only can I now make beautiful plugs for myself, but I can share my passion with others.

I always feel amazed at the support and encouragement from others over my work. I love that I am able to do this and share my creations.

I love collecting rocks and framing the prized pieces in metalwork to make them wearable. Metal smithing is my new found passion, added to my life of art making. I create each piece by hand in my little studio in the soft light of New England.

Shop policies

Each piece of jewelry I create is lovingly made from scratch start to finish from sheet metal unless noted in the individual listing. I love to use unique and natural stones in my jewelry-none of the turquoise I use is stabilized unless it says so in the product description. For each little treasure of a stone I hunt them down at rock and gem shows, or online with the actual cabbers (people who mine the minerals and create the cabochons from rock slabs themselves). I feel a piece of jewelry should feature the stone as well as the metalwork, and combining the two to make wearable art is my passion.

Please read over all the info before deciding to purchase one of my pieces~

14 gauge= 1.6mm (.064") diameter
12 gauge= 2mm (.082") diameter
10 gauge=2.5mm (.102") diameter
8 gauge= 3mm (.125") diameter
6 gauge= 4mm (.162") diameter
4 gauge= 5mm (.204") diameter
2 gauge= 6mm (.250") diameter
0 gauge= 8mm (.312") diameter
00 gauge= 10mm (.375") diameter

All gauge sizes 8 and up are hollow top hat tunnel plugs, size 10 will come hollow unless solid is requested, and 12 and smaller comes in solid silver.

I can do bigger gauges by custom orders, just convo me for your lovely ideas to be worn-no biggie. I will create anything up to 2" diameter. If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask!

If you see a style you like that's not in your gauge size, just ask! I can usually make anything up for you thats already listed in my shop or any ideas rolling around your head, no matter how complex or extreme- what else is the body there for if not to decorate? Give me a challenge! ~

Refunds and Exchanges
Please know that I cannot do any returns or exchanges because of sanitation concerns. Because of this please be absolutely sure of your gauge size as I cannot do returns based on incorrect sizing! If you need help figuring out exactly what size you are, just convo me. Please tell me *before* leaving feedback if you have an issue! I want you to dig your purchase and my aim is to make you happy. If an item needs repair I do it free of charge if it is within my ability so long as the customer pays for shipping both ways, and by repair I mean if something breaks from fault of production-not remaking an entire new item or if it is broken during strenuous activity. This is a case by case scenario. Deposits and any custom orders cannot be returned due to their specificity.

Please don't hesitate to ask me any questions! I am happy to help in any way I can, additional photos and descriptions of items can always be provided.
Additional policies and FAQs
are enjoyably welcomed! there is no extra charge for custom work and concept designs under $200, but ALL commissions will need to pay either a $50 or a 1/2 deposit before starting. They take about 1-3 weeks for production depending on the commission, and if materials need to be acquired, but they are always the most fun to do :)

PLEASE use common sense! Do not sleep, shower, or do sports in your jewelry.

~ALL THE JEWELRY IN MY SHOP IS MEANT TO BE WORN IN HEALED EARLOBE PIERCINGS ONLY! Please do NOT use silver jewelry for stretching! If you are wearing jewelry in conch piercings, please be SURE that your ears are ok with silver in this area of the ear.

All of my jewelry is made with STERLING silver (.925, or 92.5%). This is a guarentee, and I have been happily using my supplier for 5+ years now with no issues. Although FINE silver causes less oxidation, it is too soft to create plugs with.

As sterling silver is not 100% pure silver, please be aware that because gauged ears have more raw skin exposed than normal piercings slight oxidation may occur when wearing them for an extended period of time (aka the inside of the piercing may turn grey-black) please don't be alarmed! Soap and water clean it right up, and this has nothing to do with the quality or material of the jewelry-this is an event that happens with all silver and is unpreventable. Please also note that this will not happen with everyone, and will happen more often if the jewelry becomes wet while worn (like in the shower or in the rain). The more you sweat, the higher the chance of oxidation over time. It also has to do with metabolism/eating a lot of junk food which may also put you at higher risk of this effect-so eat healthy and don't sweat it! No biggie, and as I stated this won't happen to everyone nor can it be seen while wearing jewelry-just be sure to wash your piercings and keep them clean and happy~

*if your jewelry incorporates any dangling elements, please do not sleep in it*

If you want to keep your jewelry super polished and shiny I always recommend getting a piece of polishing cloth (I call it magic cloth). I prefer Sunshine polishing cloth. For oxidized/darkened pieces please know the finish will eventually fade (this depends on how much the jewelry is worn and how well you take care of it). This fading adds character, but if you'd like your piece re-darkened (just pay for shipping) contact me. Occasionally, if the *front face* of a piece is darkened, I will seal it with a musem grade jeweler's wax. Please know this is NEVER done on the wearable part of your jewelry. If you would like some polishing cloth, ask me before purchasing and I will add it on for an extra $2.
