I got the item fine. Some delay through the mails, but no fault of the shipper. The seeds I ordered were planted and have ALL sprouted. Thank you for your concern.

Organic Gardening for Small Spaces

I've been writing about urban gardening and food growing both online and in book form for over 16 years! I launched You Grow Girl™ in February 2000 and have gone on to write 4 books and countless articles on the subject. I also give presentations and teach workshops on growing and putting up your own food in small, urban spaces.

GAYLA TRAIL is a writer, photographer, and former graphic designer with a background in the Fine Arts, cultural criticism, and ecology. She is the author, photographer, and designer of best-selling books on gardening, garden to table cooking, and preserving including: You Grow Girl: The Groundbreaking Guide to Gardening (Simon & Schuster, 2005), Grow Great Grub: Organic Food from Small Spaces (Clarkson Potter/Random House, 2010) [Since translated into German, Croatian, and Portuguese.], Easy Growing: Organic Herbs and Edible Flowers from Small Spaces, and “Drinking the Summer Garden: Homegrown Thirst Quenchers, Concoctions, Sips, and Nibbles” (Summer 2012). My next book, Grow Curious: Creative Activities to Cultivate Joy, Wonder, and Discovery in Your Garden will be out April 2017!

If forced to grow one type of plant for the rest of my life, it would be tomatoes. There are so many amazing colours, shapes, sizes, and flavours found in the endless varieties available that I would never be bored. I am also an avid seed saver and a few years back I decided to merge my love of the two by offering up a few of the unique and wonderful varieties that I grow in my own garden. This is a small scale operation -- everything is grown by my hand and completely chemical free.

All photos in my listings were taken by me.

Additional policies and FAQs
All of the seeds that I sell were lovingly homegrown and harvested by me, small scale, in my urban garden using organic methods only -- no chemicals or pesticides whatsoever. I DO NOT sell genetically modified products! Tomato varieties are isolated to stay true using the flower bagging method and I test for germination quality. I take special care in choosing varieties that I find unusual, interesting and fabulous, and/or especially suitable for growing in small space gardens.
