About

A need to be creative

I worked full time in an office which was not fulfilling my creative desire so I decided to do something in the evenings to fill this void. I bought some jewellery making supplies and just let the designs flow. Having done repetitive work for a long time, I did not want to do that with my jewellery so they are all one offs. I also do not bulk buy so I will not make another, therefore everyone gets a unique piece. I use a variety of semi-precious beads including pearls, Swarovski crystals, Lampwork (created by other artists) and generally silver (usually sterling unless Thai Hill Tribe or Bali) with some Vermeil (fine coating of gold on sterling silver). To sell my items, I went to craft fairs and sold to friends, family and work colleagues. Currently I have more time to put into selling so I opened my Etsy shop and I really hope you like my designs.

Please keep returning as I add on a regular basis.

Frequently asked questions
Why are exchanges not provided should an item need to be returned?

As I only make one of each piece and do not buy the materials I use in bulk, I am unable to make another as I cannot always obtain the same gemstones, silver beads/clasps, etc. If, instead of a refund, you would like a different piece of jewellery from my shop, please contact me to discuss arrangements. The new item will be sent out on receipt of the returned one.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All my jewellery come in boxes (unless otherwise stated in the description). If you purchase more than one item, they will come in their individual boxes and then packaged together for posting.

Care instructions

You should use a soft dry cloth to clean all jewellery. Never use anything abrasive.

A silver cloth can be used for the silver components. Do not use this for the other beads, etc in a mixed piece of jewellery, just use a soft cloth. Always remove jewellery before bathing, showering, playing sports or anything where they could be caught and broken. When using perfumes or spray of any kind allow to dry before putting on any jewellery to avoid damage. Avoid contact with chemicals.

It is always a good idea to store gemstone/silver jewellery, etc in its own pouch in a drawer where it will not get damaged. Silver tarnishes if not worn for a while so definitely best to store in a pouch/box when not intending to wear for a time.

Sizing details

As I decide on a design and then make it up, I try to get the measurements as near as possible to that stated but there may be a slight variance. If you want me to confirm the measurement, please contact me. Some items can be made smaller but not usually larger or longer as I do not buy beads in bulk so may not have any to add. I can amend the design though if you are happy for me to do so. As stated all my designs are one offs so each is unique to give you your own special piece of jewellery. Just contact me and I will be happy to help.

Photography

The photos are taken in natural daylight plus some additional lighting depending on time of year. We try to ensure the colours are as near as possible to the actual gemstones. However, please note that there is a thing called monitor colour display difference. (I do not completely understand the science but colour is measured in 'bits' and the monitor is made up of 'pixels' hence the problem.)
