Hello and welcome to Gemacht - for all things made. Gemacht is where things get mixed up a bit...here you'll find vintage lots, destash, handmade jewelry, and supplies.

**Nothing from my shop is intended for use by children 14 years or younger. Jewelry contains small parts and vintage items may be made of unknown materials. Please store items where they will be secure from little ones.**

Please see my Vintage Condition Guide below - if it's marked vintage, then it's used, and some wear is to be expected.

Thanks for visiting. I am convo-friendly, so ask away!

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
Payment
*All sales to MA residents will include 6.25% sales tax. Etsy and Paypal will automatically generate sales tax. If you pay with money order, please include 6.25% of the purchase price (not including shipping costs), and I will send you an itemized invoice with your shipment.

I accept PayPal and money orders.

Your order will be shipped to the address given at Etsy checkout, regardless of your PayPal shipping address.

Items leave my shop 3-5 business days from the date I receive your payment or your money order is cleared.

If shipping is not listed for an international destination, please convo for details and I will be happy to calculate shipping and review customs regulations for your particular location.

EXPEDITED SHIPPING:

I can also ship all domestic and international orders with expedited shipping. Please convo me with your location for shipping options, costs, and expected arrival time.

DISCLAIMERS:

*Please note that certain vintage jewelry items cannot be shipped to CA due to lead law regulations. This does not mean that the item definitely contains lead. It merely means that, without extensive testing, it cannot be determined with certainty whether the item complies with lead laws.

**Please note that I am currently not shipping jewelry to Canada due to increased customs regulations. If you are interested in a particular item and a shipping price for Canada is not listed, please convo me for information.

***For all international shipments, the buyer is responsible for any customs tariffs, taxes, fees, or incidents related to customs regulations in the destination country. I will check USPS guidelines for the particular country and will not ship an item if it is prohibited - however, I cannot determine with certainty all taxes, fees, etc. that may apply to the buyer when the item arrives.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please contact me right away if you have any concerns about your purchase. I want my customers to be happy and offer refunds on MOST items, less shipping.

Anything in Gemacht marked "as is" or "no refunds" (applies to most vintage lots and destash items) is not refundable. If you are unhappy with your purchase, please let me know why and we can work something out.

On applicable items, returns will be accepted within 7 business days of delivery confirmation. Please contact me as soon as possible if you return an item. Refunds will be issued less shipping charges. The item must be returned in the same condition it was sent and in its original packaging (e.g. jewelry boxes and gift wrapping boxes).

I package all items securely. However, if an item is damaged in shipping, please contact me immediately so that the particular situation can be assessed.
Additional policies and FAQs
I am very happy to run a SMOKE-FREE shop. Yeah, me!

EARRINGS:

All vintage earrings are cleaned and sanitized before listing. However, I recommend cleaning all ear wires and posts before first use (it's a good rule of thumb for new or vintage earrings anyway). Rubbing alcohol or earring sanitizing solutions work great. Be sure to be careful of stones, gems, rhinestones, etc. when cleaning as they may be damaged. Rhinestones, for example, should never get wet!

VINTAGE CONDITION GUIDE:

Because antique and vintage items are used or second-hand, it’s important to properly understand the condition of each item. I will always make notes in the particular item description explaining any flaws or atypical signs of wear. Also, as a seller, I rely on the following system for vintage condition descriptions:

MINT: An item is as perfect and pristine as when it was originally made and shows no signs of wear (mint condition is rare for vintage).
NEAR MINT: An item shows only the slightest signs of wear. It is generally that the item has never been used, but shows typical signs of aging or wear from storage (e.g. patina on metals or surface wear).
EXCELLENT: An item shows typical signs of wear due to normal use and natural aging (e.g. patina on metals).
VERY GOOD: An item is considered wearable or useable but has some surface flaws (e.g. staining or soiling or scratches or marks).
GOOD: An item is wearable or useable but cannot be returned to excellent condition even if repairs are made or proper cleaning techniques are applied.

Of course, the older a vintage item is, the more likely it will display indications of its age. Signs of wear should be expected and should be cherished as markers of an item's past life. After all, that's what makes vintage so wonderful!

BRACELET SIZING:

To determine bracelet size, measure the wrist with a flexible measuring tape just below or above the wrist bone, depending on where you like your bracelets to sit. Measure snug, but do not pull the tape overly tight. For elastic bracelets, this is your approximate size. For all others, add 1” to 1.25”, to determine a comfortable size. This is approximate sizing and not a guarantee. Due to bead size variations, please allow a 1/8” tolerance in sizing.

If this bracelet is a gift and you are unsure of size, please consider the following averages 7 is petite, 7.25 as small, 7.5 as medium, 7.75 as large, and 8.0 as extra large. The average adult female size appears to be 7.25” to 7.5”. Remember this will be smaller for elastic style. bracelets.

WHAT IS GOLD-FILLED?

14/20 (or 1/20th 14 karat) gold-filled, or rolled gold, is created by taking a sheet of 14k gold and bonding it through extreme heat and pressure to a brass core. The 1/20 notation refers to the ratio of the 14 karat gold layer to the brass layer by weight, which is 5%.

Gold-filled is often considered a lifetime piece of jewelry.

GOLD-FILLED V. GOLD PLATED

This is very different from gold plating. The end result of gold-filled is a 14k tube that is strong, durable, and resistant to tarnish because of its 14k gold covering. There are collections of old gold-filled wire jewelry pieces with dates on them from the early 1900’s that are still in excellent shape!

* It is a superior product to gold plate as it contains much more gold.
* Karat gold covers the brass surface, making it tarnish-resistant.
* The value of gold-filled is greater than gold-plated because gold-filled has an actual layer, not just a microscopic film of karat gold.

Thank you for shopping Gemacht!
