Welcome to Gems of London
We are a small British Family of jewellers handcrafting our designs in our own workshop in England. We offer an array of metals including Platinum, Palladium, 9K, 10K, 14K, 18K Yellow, Rose and White Gold as well as Sterling Silver. All of our pieces are handset with a multitude of natural ethically sourced gemstones that are carefully matched for colour, vibrancy and cut.
Each piece is sent to the London, Birmingham or Dublin Assay Office for testing and hallmarking providing you with the assurance that you are purchasing a high quality piece of jewellery.
For some of our large solitaire designs we use large lab created stones but only when a real stone would cost thousands! So unless it says synthetic/lab created in the listing you can safely assume the stones are natural earth-mined gemstones!

Customers are responsible for the payment of any import taxes/duties appropriate to your country. As the UK is sadly now no longer in the EU, orders over the value of €150 will likely be subject to import fees as per local government policy, so it may be worth checking your local government website for estimated duty cost.

Delivery
We use Fedex Priority or DHL for shipments to USA & Canada. For UK, Europe, Australia, Asia and any other country we use Royal Mail tracked and insured (UK Postal Services) and your order will then be delivered by your National Postal Service. If you wish to upgrade to Fedex then please contact us and we will let you know the extra cost for your chosen delivery method.
For customers outside of the UK please ensure you include a telephone number with your order as we will need this to pass on to the delivery carrier.

We guarantee our craftsmanship of the metal for 1 year from receipt of your purchase. If a fault or defect is found we will correct the defect or make you a new piece at no cost to you
We guarantee the loss of stones for 6 months from receipt of your purchase. Beyond this time we cannot be held responsible for how our customers treat and wear their jewellery.
We guarantee that our gemstones are natural when stated and ethically sourced
Our jewellery is backed by a 30 day money-back guarantee or exchange if the item does not suit or is the wrong finger size. Customised orders are exempt and for Sample Sale stock we do not offer a free size exchange service. All Sample Sale stock items are new and are not seconds but we usually only offer a limited number of sizes for sale.
We are also pleased to confirm that all stock items and sample sale or ready to ship items purchased from 1st November 2019 will be eligible for return by 31 January 2020. This allows you the peace of mind to purchase items well in advance of Christmas or Hannukah.
Please note that our guarantee does NOT cover;
*Accidental or intentional damage by the customer or a third party e.g. catching a ring against something, dropping on the floor, wear of the metal due to wearing against a harder metal e.g. wearing a silver ring next to a platinum or gold ring.
*Loss by the customer or a third party
*Any work post sale that has been carried out by another jeweller e.g. resizing, resetting or changing of stones, engraving post sale. We only guarantee our own workmanship and not that of other jewellers.
Please contact us as your first port of call whether it's your fault or ours and we will inspect the ring to advise whether your repair is covered by the guarantee or not.
Please note that we treat each case on an individual basis and strive to create a mutually agreeable solution.

Frequently asked questions
I am not based in the US, how do I provide my country specific finger size?
Etsy only currently offers one country specific sizing scale, so if you are unsure of which US finger size your country specific size equates to please do convo us. We always request you include your country specific finger size in a note at checkout. If this is not provided we will work to the US Size you have selected so please ensure this is correct.
Do you offer Customization on your pieces ?
Yes most of our items can be customized in Platinum, 9K, 10K, 14K or 18K Gold in Yellow, Rose or White Gold. We can also customize your choice of gemstones and quality of gemstones. Please convo us with your requirements.
Do you have a Bespoke Jewelry service
Yes, we can make anything your heart desires ! Please send us a convo with as much information as possible including Metal (eg 14K White Gold), Gemstones, size and shape of gemstones, design etc.. if we need more information we will ask you. If you have a sketch or a photograph of what you require then please send it to us so that we can provide you with a quote.
How quick do you ship and when will I receive my order?
For most items that are in stock, we ship within 1 to 3 business days and for the United States, United Kingdom & Europe (we use Fedex & DHL & Royal Mail) for delivery within 1-2 working days. To check this click on the "Shipping & Policies" tab on any of our listings which is to the right of our Reviews. Customized and Bespoke pieces take a little longer to make but we will discuss this with you. We try our hardest to meet your need by date!
Will I get my order in time for Christmas ?
We are pleased to confirm the majority of our designs will be delivered in time for Christmas within USA, Canada & Europe. Australia and most other countries. If you are unsure please check the "Ready to Ship" message on the individual listing or you are welcome to check with us before purchasing. We will do all we can to ensure your item is received in plenty of time.
How will you ship my item ?
UNITED STATES (USA), Canada, Europe - Fedex or DHL - Delivered within 1 to 2 business days once shipped.
UK - Royal Mail Special Delivery, 24 or 48 hour tracked - Delivered next business day once shipped.
Rest of the world - Registered Mail - Signed For Delivery can vary between 1 to 3 weeks. If you would like us to send by Fedex or DHL then we can arrange this at an additional cost so please send me your address for a quotation. Alternatively there may be an option to select expedited shipping at checkout.
Do you offer engraving ?
Yes we offer engraving of rings. Our standard engraving price is $45.00 (approx £35.00) for italic engraving. The number of letters that can be engraved will depend on the ring, the finger size and the positioning of the hallmarks. Large finger sizes obviously have more flexibility. To enquire about engraving please let us know the ring you would like engraved along with your finger size and the wording you would like engraved. Once we have agreed that your wording will fit we will set up a custom listing for you.
