Welcome to My Shop! Or, My TV Addiction Justified

ORIGINS
I am a story addict. I am drawn to stories wherever I can find them-- in person, through books, music, movies, TV shows-- they call to me, and draw me in. I love the genuine enjoyment I get while watching/ reading/ listening. And I'm not alone in this! Time and time again, I've connected with strangers, new acquaintances and neighbors over this TV show or that, and it's a genuine connection. After talking about your favorite characters or favorite episode, it's like you've crossed an invisible bridge and now you're standing on common ground.

So yes, maybe I watch way too many shows and maybe I should probably spend more time outside. However, I'm so grateful that I can use this pastime of mine to connect with other people.

I created this shop as a way to connect with other people and to celebrate those shared interests through design. My hope was to create art that appealed to fans in an understated way-- art that didn't scream, "THIS IS MY FAVORITE SHOW!!" I wanted to create art that was a little more elevated and sophisticated, so that you could hang it up at home or in your office and it wouldn't look out of place or over-the-top. Ideally, it's an instant way to identify and connect with people who are on the inside-- people who also love that show or that book or that song. In a word, connection really is my mission. I want to spread it, share, it, facilitate it... and by doing so, make people just a little bit happier.

MY PROFESSIONAL JOURNEY
I am a self-taught graphic designer. I first learned how to use the Adobe Creative Suite in a commercial capacity-- designing website layouts, banner ads, user interfaces, etc. while working at a small marketing agency (while concurrently attending college). After graduating from college with a BA in English, I moved to Franklin, TN to accept a job at a local digital publishing company. The position had nothing to do with graphic design, but that didn't matter because I was designing creatively on the side. Unfortunately, after about 7 months working for that company, it went under. Luckily, I still had my Etsy business.

While I looked for a new job, I started pouring more and more time and energy into my Etsy shop. And to my delight, it started doing better and better every month! I delved deeper into analytics and strategies, I pumped out more designs and put my nose to the grindstone. And eventually, I stopped looking for a new job. Miracle of miracles, I didn't need one! I looked back 6 months after losing my job and realized that I had created a successful, thriving business that could support me.

I'm so grateful that I can work from home, and that I get to indulge my passions (design and stories) on a daily basis.

Returns and exchanges
I gladly accept returns
Contact me within: 14 days of delivery
Ship items back within: 21 days of delivery
I don't accept exchanges or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
I am happy to issue a refund or a replacement if:
- Your order arrives in a damaged condition
- Your order is lost by the post office

If you are returning an item for any reason other than damage, you will need to cover the cost of return shipping. If you are unhappy with your order and wish to return it, I will refund you the cost of purchase (minus original shipping) once it is returned.

If you provide the wrong address and don't let me know before your order ships, I am not responsible for issuing a refund or sending a replacement. If I receive the item back, I will send it to you at the correct address for what it costs to ship it again. (In these cases, I will create a custom order for you to pay for the new shipping label).

I will issue a refund for digital downloads if none of the files have been downloaded.
Payment
I accept most forms of payment. If you need to cancel an order, just shoot me a message and I'm more than happy to oblige.
Shipping
I usually ship 2-3 times a week, depending on order volume. If you need your order delivered faster, I offer expedited processing for an added fee of $5, which guarantees that your order will SHIP (not arrive) the next business day.

If your item gets returned to me because the address provided was incorrect, you will need to pay for the postage to re-ship to the corrected address.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Please be aware that some countries impose steep customs fee. Any taxes/customs/fees beyond the cost of postage is up to the buyer to pay on the receiving end.

All items in my shop are copyrighted and are my own intellectual property. They cannot be sold or shared, and are intended for personal use ONLY.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a framing option for prints?

Unfortunately, I do not currently offer framed prints-- the frame you see in the product photos are for display purposes only. However, I do offer matted prints, which is kind of the halfway point between framed and non-framed, and make the prints look more finished.

What if I put the wrong address?

No problem, just send me a message with the correct shipping address and I'll correct it for you.

I live in _________. When will I receive my order?

I ship using USPS First Class Mail. That means that for domestic orders, shipping time is usually 2-5 business days. For international orders, it's anywhere from 7-21 business days. Once your order is shipped, you can track it using the USPS Tracking ID #.

PLEASE note that I cannot guarantee these shipping times. If you're worried about getting your order in time, you can upgrade to Rush Order, which guarantees that your order ships the day after you purchase. (Next business day, that is.)

I never received my order! What happened to it?

The first thing you need to do is double check your Purchases/ Order history. Double check to make sure that you ordered a PHYSICAL print and not a digital download. (If you only paid $5.99 for the print, it's a digital download that you have to print yourself.)

If it's not a digital download, look for the USPS Tracking ID #. You should be able to follow the progress of your package step by step. If it's stalled at a certain location or says "Delivered" but you never received it, the first thing you should do is contact your local post office to see if they can help you locate it. If you still can't find it, send me a message and we'll work something out.
