Light at your own risk. May cause howling at the moon, excessive hair growth, and metamorphosis. Tincture of Werewolf is a spicy and smoky combination of black pepper, saffron, cloves, cedar leaf, glowing embers, and a touch of tonka.

About

Where Fiction Comes to Light

Stories take us beyond our own reality, throwing us into adventures, romances, thrilling rides, or spine-tingling horrors. The characters come to life within us, thriving on our emotions, allowing us to live a million different lives. As story lovers, our greatest desire is to be transported to our favorite fictions again and again, and that is the goal of Get Fictional. The sense of smell is a powerful thing, and it goes hand in hand with memories and emotions, so we strive to bring those fictional worlds to light with our soy candles. All you have to do is strike a match.

Currently, my main occupation involves light saber fights, racing miniature vehicles around the house, and doing the potty dance multiple times a day. In between all that adventure, I nurture my obsession with stories, whether it be through reading, writing, or, yes, Netflix binging. All those feelings are put into words, and all those words fit together to create entire worlds, and to me, there's no greater masterpiece.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a wooden wick and a cotton wick?

A cotton wick is like those you usually see in candles. They are easy to light and easy to maintain. I use an all-natural, cotton wick {no zinc, lead or other metals found in these!} that are coated in beeswax. They are lovely and simple.

Wooden wicks, on the other hand, take a bit more care, but they do offer an ambiance and atmosphere that is a bit different than a run-of-the-mill cotton wick. They crackle like a mini-fireplace! You do need to keep them trimmed at about 1/8 inch in order for them to burn correctly. I include a care card with each wooden wick candle I send out so can get the most out of your wood-wick candle!

How do I care for my wood-wick candle?

Keep the wick trimmed down to 1/8 inch. I have them trimmed for you when I send them out, so you don't have to worry about the first light, but with ever subsequent re-light, make sure it's trimmed! You can use a wick trimmer, or, as I like to do, simply break off the burnt edges before relighting.
