About

Do Not Pass Go, Do Not Collect $200 Dollars

My shop story starts where I have a 6 mo. old who finally started to sleep through the night. I needed something to do where I could concentrate for more than 5 seconds, so I taught myself hand-embroidery--probably one of the most time-consuming hobbies you could ever encounter. I worked at it for a while, even added tea towels to the mix. Did a few alternative craft shows. Then I got a sewing machine for XMas; a gift that I was a little unsure of, but thought I'd give it a whirl anyway.

So I started making my own tea towels and napkins as I was not particularly happy with the quality in the store bought ones. One day my beloved cherry print shower cap fell apart and---being the daughter of a camera repairman---I completely disassembled it and decided I was going to make my own. So I did...and they started to sell. And sell. And oh my gosh...who cares about hand-embroidery?? (just kidding)

I frequent handmade/vintage shows in the New England area; I really enjoy interacting with customers, getting a feel for their likes/dislikes, hearing their stories and even opening their eyes to hand-embroidery. I really love creating hand-embroidered pieces; I feel it is a lost art and I truly enjoy bringing a New Generation of keepsakes into this world.

And, as if it is not obvious, I am obsessed with finding not-your-average prints for my shower caps, kitchen accessories, bowties and scarves.

I hope you enjoy my shop! It is every inch of me, completely drenched in my oddball personality. I love my work, I love being able to create something with my two little hands and ship those things all over the world for others to enjoy. Thank you for the ability to do what I love everyday!
