Announcement    International customers - Sadly Royal Mail has been hit by a cyber attack on its international dispatch systems and I have had to turn off international delivery. Royal Mail say they are working on the problem and I hope to be able to accept international orders again very soon.

UK customers - After the Royal Mail strikes throughout November and December, there are a few backlogs at some depots. Sadly deliveries might take a little longer to get to you than usual. Please accept my apologies and know I will get packages on their way as quickly as possible.

Normal UK delivery time is 1-3 working days. Normal non-UK delivery time is 2-3 weeks.

Wildlife & nature art, handmade silk cord, paper craft tutorials and other digital downloads. Queries or questions? Just get in touch and I'll be happy to discuss it with you. I pride myself in offering helpful and honest service so if you have any problems then please don't hesitate to get in touch. I am always happy to help.

An art and craft obsession

Many years ago I discovered a tiny shop in a tiny Scottish village. It was called 'Jenny A' Things' and was a paradise for a little girl with a love of small treasures. Now that I am grown I still have a love of the little things - little curiosities that make you wonder how they are made or where they come from. This is the inspiration for my Etsy store.

I am an artist of over 30 years standing, an obsessive crafter and frustrated academic with a love for ancient history, the great outdoors, yoga, reading, zombie movies and all things quirky. I currently live in rural Scotland and run my business from whatever free surface I have in the house. I create wildlife and landscape art, paper beads, handmade silk cord and paper craft tutorials. Some of my work can be seen in the following books and magazines:
'Beads and Beyond' magazine: June 2014
'Cat Sayings: Wit & Wisdom from the Whiskered Ones' by Bradford G Wheler (Sept 2012) 'The Pulse of Mixed Media: Secrets and Passions of 100 Artists Revealed' by Seth Apter, North Light Books (March 2012)
'Skulls' by Noah Scalin, Lark Books (7 Oct 2008)

Until September 2018 my beads and craft work was regularly seen on the Create and Craft channel in the UK.

Shipping

I try to mail orders within three working days.

Estimated delivery times:
UK: 1-3 working days (All packages are sent by Royal Mail first class post).
Rest of the world: 2-3 weeks.

Please be aware that Covid 19 is causing delays with deliveries all over the world. Estimated delivery times can now be as much as 1-2 weeks in the UK and 4-6 weeks to the rest of the world. However most packages are still reaching their destinations within the 1-3 days or 2-3 week windows.

All items are sent by Royal Mail but please remember that I am in the United Kingdom so shipping times may be several weeks if you are ordering from overseas. Shipping charges include a small charge for packaging materials and associated costs as well as the price of postage.

Please note that customers are responsible for all the customs fees and duty relevant to their country. You can use an online tax calculator like simplyduty.com to work out how much tax you may be liable for. (see https://www.simplyduty.com/import-calculator)

Additional policies and FAQs

Unfortunately I no longer offer items at wholesale prices.

Please be aware that I now have to charge a design fee for commissioned bead orders that use your own images due to the amount of time it takes to edit customer's own photos and to cover the printer ink used in making test prints. That charge is £5 per image and will be added to the cost of any commissions that use customer's own images.

Your personal details are safe with me. I will only use your shipping and billing address, and contact information to communicate with you about your order, to fulfil your order or for legal reasons (e.g. paying taxes).
