Hello! I am Karina – the soul behind Gioia to Play! I am a mother of two beautiful daughters and married to my high school sweetheart. I am an artist who is proudly representing a lineage of artisan women in my family. I grew up watching the women around me make art in different mediums. They continue to be my main source of inspiration, and admiration. My academic background in Fine Arts and Art History, along with my artisan grassroots, inspired me to experiment with different ideas to entertain my daughters in a meaningful, educational, yet fun environment amid a Global Health Crisis. Witnessing how our daughters’ were learning via our hands-on activities, helped me realize that my efforts to promote meaningful ways to have fun was worth sharing with the community. Hence, I officially launched my Brand, Gioia to Play, on November 2021.

Our mission is to foster a culture of purposeful play where youngsters are empowered to free their imagination in a fun, gratifying, and always constructive setting. I have been creating art for many years and it is a true honor to continue to nourish a creative expression by designing products that contribute to the development of children.
