An absolutely amazing ribbed v-neck pullover hooded sweater. Emily is a true artist, and can knit anything your heart desires....I swear! Emily helped me choose the perfect shade of indigo, and took my measurements. I told her the design I was looking for, and she kept me posted every step of the way. The outcome was a beautiful, perfectly knit sweater that will never go out of style. Now I want one in every color!!

About

Sharing My Passion

Hallo, I'm Emily, owner of Girlpower Knits, hand knitter and knitwear/pattern designer

My shop name came naturally from me and my 5 sisters who all knit!

I started my shop as a way to branch out on my hobby, as I wanted to knit for other people, not only myself. I have so many designs and ideas whirling in mind, and I can't make them all for myself, so I am here to create and share with others!

I design most of my items, and love to come up with unique and special knits. My studio is wherever I am, and my inspiration comes from everywhere, it might be a color combination, a blanket draped on the bed, or a cloud floating in the wind...

About my process:
I am fascinated with how yarn can be turned into amazing and beautiful wearable pieces!
I start simply with yarn, needles and a vision for each piece.

After many hours of work in each piece, I wash the item, then store it in a container to prevent any contamination.

I love natural fibers, like alpaca, cashmere, merino, and wools, and use them most of the time. I also utilize a machine washable acrylic/wool blend for children, shawls, and select pieces that will need washed more frequently.

The quality is what what makes the piece - I pay more for quality yarn, and this is reflected in my prices, because I choose the best fibers.

I believe my quality is reflected in my pieces, so feel free to browse, and don't be afraid to ask questions!

Thanks for stopping by my shop! I appreciate your taking the time to look at my items. I have a lot of fun and put a lot of love into the making of all my items, and I hope this shows thorough!

All items come from a smoke-free home, with 1 cat, preventative steps are taken to keep all kitty hair/contact away from all products. Everything is washed and stocked after completion.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I always ship with a tracking number, and insure $40+, protecting me and you from damage/lost package headaches. Be aware claims can take several weeks to clear - I'll stick with you!
Excess shipping charges are promptly refunded.
Refunds and Exchanges
Returns? If there is a problem please contact me - we'll work it out! I may or may not be able to accept a return due to the piece in question.
Custom orders are non returnable/refundable.
There are several reasons I cannot accept returns on some items:
Knits may quickly pick up pet/human hair, dirt, etc.
Pieces like hats cannot be resold as "new" if worn.
Some fibers can quickly pick up odors, such as smoke and air fresheners.
I am VERY particular in listing fiber content and measurements. I'll be happy to answer your questions.
For lost/damaged packages please see shipping policies.
Additional policies and FAQs
For custom work, please contact me, and we'll get it going - if you have a photo to work off of, that's great!
For a custom item, the typical charge is the cost of yarn and 0.10 - 0.15 charge per yard knit. Minimum charge of 150 yards.
I may need to send you a Paypal invoice to cover yarn cost, then finish with a payment/photo listing later. Payment plans available for larger pieces.
I love receiving feedback - both through email and the Etsy feedback system.
Public feedback helps me improve and also gives other customers confidence in our work.
I recommend Eucalan brand wool wash for your new knits. You can also use gentle dish soap, baby bath, or gentle hair shampoo.
