About

Talents awakened by way of good influence, inspiration and confidence.

Here's my story: I am a naturally gifted jewelry designer. Around 1982 I created my first piece of jewelry; a necklace using some colorful wooden beads. At that time, I was not considering my talent to be a way to earn money so, I ended up giving it away.

I've been trend-setting since my teenage years and I've always portrayed some flair in my fashion statement and style. So, my talent has not been limited to making jewelry; Since the early 90's I've done some fashion designing, interior decorating, etc. I designed my daughters prom dress and my sister's wedding dress, expressing my love for glamour and uniqueness.

In the late 1970's through the 80's, my mother who was an enterprising woman worked as a Sales Consultant for Park Lane Jewelry and Sarah Coventry and as a stylist for Beeline Fashions. I would assist her at shows by modeling jewelry and clothing to demonstrate the different ways pieces could be worn. This contributed to my desire to use my gift.

Around 1989 I began to recycle old jewelry, taking different necklaces completely apart and using the beads, components and stones to create totally new designs. This is when I began my journey as a jewelry designer. The first piece I made during this time, my mother offered to buy it from me. I was hesitant, I didn't want to charge her and I didn't even know how much to charge. But she inspired me by letting me know that it was okay for her to pay me for my creation and boosting my confidence to start a business selling my creations. That confidence helped me to broaden my horizon to the level of creativity for where I now stand as a jewelry artisan.

So, I want you to be confident in the fact that a lot of love and thought goes into designing and creating your Glammerish jewelry. Thanks for reading my story.
