Margot is fabulous. I've bought the cheese plates from her a number of times. Its our go to house warming gift. EVERYONE LOVES THEM. Always a hit.
How I began my glass journey...
Both my father and grandfather were skilled stained glass artisans. For years I begged my father to make a stained glass window for my home. But it was a bit like the shoemaker's children who had no shoes. He never seemed to get around to it. After he retired I begged one more time. This time he said, "Why don't you do it! I'll teach you."
My first piece was one he insisted I design myself. He taught me all of the traditional methods of working in stained glass. I fell in love with the process and loved working with glass. It was one of those "where have you been all of my life" moments. After a several years of creating pieces for myself, family and friends, I was ready to go public selling at shows, gift shops, here on Etsy and doing custom commissioned pieces.
A few years later I became curious about the process of fused glass. The ability to make functional art intrigued me. I enjoy not only the design process, but also the science of working with firing schedules in the kiln. Along the way I also experimented with recycled glass transforming wine bottles that are destined for the trash to something useful.
Speaking of experimenting, I love exploring new ideas and methods which is why there is a such a variety of things in my shop. Most of my pieces are one of a kind designs. Every piece I make is made with great attention to detail and quality.

I was born to create. I opened my first business when I was 6 years old selling woven potholders that I made. I set up a card board shop outside my father's custom framing shop in New York City. From then on I continued to create and sell things.

Frequently asked questions
I strive to take pictures that accurately show the color of an item. Computer monitors, however, can display color differently. Normally this is not a problem, but If you are looking for an exact matching color, please contact me to assure you get what you are expecting.
All of my listings will have size information listed in the description. While pictures are worth a thousand words, size can sometimes be unclear in a picture. Check the listing for the size and please contact me if you need any clarification. I want to be sure you are completely satisfied with your purchase.
When you unpack your item, you may notice several different types of packaging. Getting your piece to you safely is, of course, my first priority. But I also use as much recycled material as I can. This means you may sometimes find a variety of packing materials.
