Announcement    4/10/2024. Mothers Day is coming fast! I make gifts that will be treasured for a lifetime, and I have something wonderful for the Mom you love! My shop is filled with fruit-themed art glass jewelry, ornaments and sculpture that will become family heirlooms.

The hand blown blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and other fruits are so realistic you will need to touch them to be sure they are glass! I form each berry and leaf myself, by hand, melting colored glass rods and powders in the flame of a torch. Then I build some of the fruits into jewelry using either solid Sterling Silver or 14/20 Gold-Filled chains and findings. Because I use only high-quality materials, my treasures are an investment that can be expected to last for centuries.

I ship most orders in 1-3 business days. Free Shipping is via USPS Ground Advantage which usually takes 2-5 days to deliver. If you need your order sooner, you can purchase a shipping upgrade to USPS Priority Mail (2-3 days) or Express Mail (1-2 days) during Checkout. Or if you want more certainty you can Message me to discuss options for UPS 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air.

A signature will be required for orders valued over $500. If it's inconvenient to sign for packages at your home address, during checkout you can provide the address of another place where someone will be available to sign - perhaps at your work or the home of a trusted friend.

About Sustainability:
The packaging for your order has been reduced as much as possible while still preventing glass breakage. Everything I use is made from recycled, sustainable or repurposed materials. The brown packing tape can be recycled right along with the cardboard boxes, labels, paper inserts or filler and brown tissue paper. The organic Kapok fiber padding inside your gift box will biodegrade, but not fast enough for curbside composting, so please put that in your regular trash. Even the red stretch ribbon on your gift box (which also goes in regular trash) was bought at a second-hand shop and repurposed. :)

    My happiest childhood memories are of picking berries and apples in the woods, fields and orchards around our New Hampshire home. I want my glass beads and jewelry to give you a permanent reminder of your own sweetest summer days.

Care instructions

You may clean any of my jewelry designs using the mild jewelry-cleaning liquid that's available in most department stores (NOT Tarn-X). First immerse the jewelry piece in plain water, then dip a soft toothbrush into the fluid and scrub lightly, paying special attention to any tarnished surfaces. Then rinse, rinse, rinse, being sure to remove all traces of red fluid or suds from inside the bead holes, where they might leave behind a cloudy haze. You may also safely use any of the dry silver polishing cloths that are available at jewelry stores or on the internet to clean any sterling silver parts that can be easily reached.

About Gold-Filled Jewelry

Gold-Filled materials are quality materials that can be expected to last a lifetime. I use 14/20 gold-filled, which is made by using extreme pressure and heat to bond a sheet of 14 karat yellow gold over a brass base. The resulting product is a wire or tube in which the gold layer represents 1/20th of the volume of the piece. This material is then formed into chain, clasps, rings, ear wires and other jewelry findings that are strong, durable, and resistant to tarnish.

The gold layer of gold-filled materials is many, many times thicker than the coating on gold-plated or “gold vermeil” materials. As a result you can expect to wear and enjoy your gold-filled jewelry for many years without worry of having the gold layer wear through.

Timing of Contract

This shop displays goods which are advertised for sale and gives information about them. By advertising goods I am inviting you to place an order. If you place an order, I am not obliged to accept that order.

The contract between us will only be formed if and when I accept your order. My acceptance of your order and the formation of a binding contract between us will take place when I dispatch the goods to you. Up until this point, there will be no contract in place between us, which means that neither you nor I will have any rights against or obligations towards the other, until the order is dispatched.

If I elect not to accept your order, I will refund your purchase price in full, including shipping and taxes.

Customs and VAT Information for International Buyers

Your international shipment may be subject to import or value added taxes, customs duties and delivery fees which are levied once a shipment reaches your country.

Except for certain shipments to Australia, New Zealand, Norway, the UK, the EU and parts of Canada, ETSY DOES NOT COLLECT THESE TAXES AND FEES - they must be paid by you when you collect your package from Customs. See below for more information about import taxes on shipments to Australia, New Zealand, Norway, the UK, the EU and Canada.

And see below for more information regarding "Gift" shipments.

Please contact your local customs office for further information.

VAT or GST or HST is added to SOME orders shipped to Australia, New Zealand, Norway, the UK, the EU and parts of Canada

Etsy collects VAT, GST or HST for orders shipped into:
Australia that are valued less than or equal to $1,000 AUD;
Norway that are valued less than or equal to $3,000 NOK;
the UK that are valued less than or equal to £135;
the EU that are valued less than or equal to €150;
some parts of Canada but not others; and
all orders shipped into New Zealand.

Etsy collects these taxes from buyers during the checkout process and remits the funds directly to the applicable tax authorities. No action is required on your part.

If your order is shipped into one of these countries and is more valuable than the specified threshold, or if your order is shipped to any other country, BUYER MUST PAY VAT AND OTHER IMPORT COSTS when receiving the package.

About International "Gift" Shipments

When a non-US customer is buying a gift for someone else, she often misunderstands that to mean that I can properly mark her international shipment as a Gift. But the Customs rules do not apply to what will happen to the package after it is received.

The Customs rules only apply to the relationship and transaction between me (the Seller) and you (the Buyer). Since I will be receiving payment for the work I send overseas, to comply with the law I must mark the package as Merchandise (not as a Gift) and list the full amount paid on the attached documents. To do otherwise risks criminal penalties for us both. Therefore, regular import costs will be charged on the full value of any order shipped from the US into another country.

Etsy collects Sales Tax for orders shipping to most of the United States

Based on new laws, Etsy automatically calculates, collects, and remits sales tax for ALL orders shipped to most of the 50 States in the US. This even applies to orders shipped from outside the US.

Etsy collects this tax from buyers during the checkout process and remits the funds directly to the applicable State tax authorities. No action is required on your part. Neither Sellers nor Buyers can opt out of this procedure.

PRODUCT SAFETY WARNINGS

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD
Keep your glass beads, sculpture and jewelry out of the reach of children. Do not display or store glass berry beads or sculptures where they could be confused with real food. Never put glass beads or sculptures into your mouth for any reason, even as a joke.

WARNING: FRAGILE
Dropping glass beads or sculptures onto hard surfaces may chip, crack or break the glass. My jewelry is delicate and should not be handled roughly or given to children. Do not wear jewelry that has loose or broken parts. If you break your glass beads or jewelry I will be able to repair them. Please contact me by clicking the "Contact the shop owner" link to discuss your repair. Always use caution when handling cracked or broken glass.
