5 out of 5 starsVery nice glass piece! I might change the cord out to blue, but otherwise, very nice.

5 out of 5 starsWOW! Extremely Beautiful and Amazing! Uniquely Handmade - in the USA! I cannot believe the exquisite quality and so inexpensive.
nThis is the first time I tried GlassByAlexandra. I am REALLY Impressed with the outstanding quality of the beautiful handmade glass flower necklace piece (and necklace) – and it only cost $35. The website definitely does not do it justice! The website cannot capture the real-life view, color, depth and 3D attractiveness of the actual piece I bought! I was initially attracted to the unique glass pieces on this new website. I thought many of the pieces looked really nice on the website and I thought I would get one - a unique special handmade gift. And the prices were right in the range I wanted to pay. When it was delivered I was amazed – the actual item is so much more beautiful than what was shown on the site! I will be back to buy more items for some upcoming birthdays, a graduation or two, and a retirement – and Christmas - for some very hard-to-shop-for people we know.
nThank you very much, GlassByAlexandra, for your artistic talents!!!

Glass is a challenging passion
My approach to glass had to be influenced by my background in fine arts, painting in particular. Techniques have to be applied to obtain specific effects but the mix of colors and the execution are very dependent on the individual artist background. For example, a flower gets created through the implosion technique to appear to be "floating" in the glass in 3-dimensions.... However, it is the color combination, the twisting and layering that give a flower the realism and artistic appeal I am looking for...
I love to create, and not so much to sell... Creating a virtual shop has been a challenge to say the least! Taking photographs of glass is a daunting process. How to show the 3-dimensional flowers, how to reduce the glare, how to convey the smoothness and beauty of glass and the additional magic that appears in the sunlight? Well I took the challenge. I can only assure you that each piece of glass looks better yet when you hold it in your hand and admire it "in person"!

Owner, Glass Artist
Formerly a painter,I discovered glass over 20 years ago. I received instruction in the New Dynasty art studio from Michael Higgins. Having learned the basic techniques of flameworking,I developed a style of my own. Each piece is different and unique.
