Welcome to my Etsy shop! Glass and beadwork are my Zen. I'm not entirely sure what Zen really is exactly, but I think this is close. So I have a nice little studio in my basement (thanks to DH, I'm ever grateful!), and I come down here to let the creative juices flow... or sometimes it's just a way to get away from the world for a few hours. More about me in my Profile.

DEALS: Cords & chains are discounted or free with purchase of a pendant (see listings for details). I also offer approx 10% to 20% discount on multiple-item purchases (glass pieces only, not cords).

CUSTOM ORDERS ARE WELCOME!!!

PLEASE NOTE shipping & return policies. Contact me about rush orders or any special arrangements.

Thanks for visiting... I hope you find something you like!

Payment
Payment through Pay Pal is preferred & appreciated. Money orders & personal checks are accepted, but will delay shipping until receipt of payment. I prefer Pay Pal over checks and I'm working on alternatives.

Purchased items will ship usually within 3 business days after payment has been received and/or confirmed as cleared. See more in the Shipping Policy.
Shipping
WHEN I SHIP: I make every effort to ship within 1-3 business days of confirmed payment, and if I am unable to ship within 5 business days for any reason, I'll contact you with details. Custom items take longer (see item description and/or contact me for timing). If you need something by a certain date, please let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.

HOW I SHIP: Shipping in the U.S. is first class parcel, usually with receipt confirmation (no signature) through Pay Pal or Etsy tracking, and most orders arrive within a few days of shipping. International shipping is first class, no tracking. Please contact me if you wish to purchase any shipping protections and I'll get back to you with price. Jewelry & other small items are shipped in a padded envelope, with tissue around the item and sometimes a gift box. Larger items are shipped in the smallest box possible with the item protected with bubble wrap.

INSURANCE: Insurance is optional; it's the responsibility of the buyer to request insurance. If insurance is requested, I will send you a revised invoice thru Pay Pal. I am not responsible for lost packages once I've shipped them.

SHIPPING CHARGES: I do my best to charge actual shipping and packaging costs. Through Etsy, Pay Pal, and other sources, these are wholesale costs. Basic U.S. shipping also includes tracking whenever it's available.
Refunds and Exchanges
Customer satisfaction is important to me. If you're unhappy with your purchase, please return it within 10 days of receipt, or no later than 30 days after purchase date, for a refund of the purchase price or an exchange. For a return, please contact me about the problem & allow me to resolve it if possible or inform me what was unsatisfactory. For an exchange, please contact me to work out details of the exchange. Shipping charges are not refundable.
Additional policies and FAQs
GENERAL CARE & CLEANING: Common sense is the key. Usually a soft cloth is all that's needed to clean most jewelry, dry or a bit damp. A silver cleaning cloth is great for sterling items. DO NOT USE CHEMICALS or "DIP" jewelry cleaners on soft gemstones, pearls, oxidized (antiqued) sterling, or on glass pieces with an attached bail or with an image on it (such as photo, words, or graphic design other than the glass itself). Beaded jewelry (strung on beading wire) should not be dipped or exposed to chemicals or excessive moisture because it will damage the wire holding it together. To ensure years of enjoyment, it's best to take off jewelry before showering, swimming, doing dishes, working out (sweating), etc.

FUSED PHOTOS & OTHER IMAGES: "Sepia-tone" and "Enamel" images on my glass items are permanent, and don't require special care (see above for general care & cleaning). The sepia-tone (antique-looking) and enamel images are more durable than the full-color and B&W images because they are fired at a higher temp; the sepia-tone ones are actually burned right into the glass. Most of the full-color and B&W images—EXCEPT when the listing says that the image is enamel—are fused onto the surface and then coated with a lacquer for protection, so the images will stay nice when handled with care. Therefore, for glass items with full-color or B&W images——DO NOT expose to rubbing alcohol or chemicals of any kind, avoid extreme temperatures, and avoid excessive jostling or rubbing against other hard or sharp objects (IE, try not to store in a pocket or purse, or in a jumble with other jewelry, coins, etc.).

BAILS: Fused glass items with an attached bail should not be exposed to extreme temperatures. Most are attached with an epoxy that has a very strong bond but extreme heat or cold could weaken its hold. Dropping a pendant on a hard surface such as concrete has also been known to pop a bail off even when the annealed glass survives the fall (yes, I know this from experience, and I'd like to say I was testing durability, but no... it was just me being a klutz). Some of the sterling silver bails are attached without epoxy—a hole is drilled in the glass and the bail is attached through the hole.

ONE FINAL COMMON SENSE TIP: Glass and beaded jewelry is beautiful to have, but it's not meant for small children. If breakage occurs, small parts could cause a choking hazard. And while all my glass items are properly annealed for durability, it's still glass and breakage can happen. Please handle with care and keep your jewelry safely away from the kids!
