About

50 years now and going strong now using glass and fire to make art

I was 12 years old traveling to Canada following the Rocky Mountains and camping with my parents and some friends. We ended up in Seattle Washing at the worlds fair trade center looking at the different trades from around the world. Mexico was represented by a glass blower or better known in the glass circles as a lamp-worker (someone who uses a torch to melt and shape glass rods and tubes that have already been formed). So intrigued by the worker who spoke no English. So I just observed. I knew at that moment what I wanted to be when I got older. I didn't wait though. I started right away. I found out from a science teacher what kind of glass and I found some stirring rods at a hobby store. It happened to be the right kind of glass and with the help of my Dads cutting torch in his garage I was off to becoming a glass artist. At 15 I had my 1st business. By 19 I started wholesaling glass to gift shops. Now 50 some years later I am still going strong. I hope to make glass for another 15 to 20 years. I have focused on blown glass jewelry and I specialize in sea life with my focus on sea turtles octopus and other sea creatures. Glass still fascinates me but I feel I still have lots to learn.

My two Sons Burt and Keith my biggest fans, work with me in the Studio form time to time.

Visit my shop and you will see that I have learned some though.

Please follow my work and heart a few of your favorite items. That helps spread the word about my glass.

Payment
All Items will be shipped after payments have be made and cleared.
We will cancel all orders that have not been paid after 2 weeks unless the customer contacts us. We have to pay a fee to Etsy at the time of purchase.
Shipping
We accept PayPal but you don't necessarily need to have a Paypal account, just press the Paypal option and follow the link to pay by credit card.

If you have questions regarding the two-step checkout and payment, below is a link to help you through the payment process!
www.etsy.com/help_guide_checkout.php

If you have questions about shipping, please convo or email me, and I will try to answer your questions.

Our Jewelry and Small items now have the option of Priority or Express Priority that may be chosen at the time of check out.

Priority and Express Priority or next business day shipping is guaranteed by the POST OFFICE to be what THEY say it will be or your money back ON THE SHIPPING. We or Glassnfire do not offer the same guarantee on the GLASS that is shipped by this more rapid method. If a claim is made that the item was not received on time Glassnfire WILL NOT be liable for those claims. That is between the post office and the one making the claim.

If up graded shipping is purchased we try to move those to a higher priority in making them and sending them, however it is not always possible. Direct contact with me is the best in order to confirm how fast it will get delivered to the post office.

Inquiries can be made directly as how fast we can make and deliver any item to the post office. Each invoice tells you approximately when the shipping will take place. This varies at times due to being backed up on orders or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Please be patient with me as I am a one man shop.

Items that are canceled after the sale and a refund is issued will have a $3.00 cancelation fee.
Thank you. Ron Murphy
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final and we will exchange any item however the customer will have to pay the shipping both directions. We only do exchanges! If an item arrives to the customer broken we will be glad to repair that item and we will pay the shipping to return the item to the customer. We charge a restocking charge on items that we do have to refund! We have no control over the post office and how they handle our packages! However we don't like broken glass any more that our customers do so we do all we can to pack and ship them the safest method that we reasonably can.
Additional policies and FAQs
We don't guarantee that the items sold will be exactly the size or color that our customer may expect. However we are dedicated to try to please our customers, and try to represent them as they are. Please note that each is hand made and there can be variations in size and colors. Our photos don't always show exactly how colors appear. We have found that photos bring out color and detail is harder to see with the eye. Plus computers and their programs vary in how our products appear.

Some items shipped to other countries have to go through customs. They can impose a charge that we have no control over. It is vary unusual that this happens but it would be wise to know your country's regulation before. We won't be responsible for any additional amount besides what our shipper charges us.
Thanks you!
