I was inspired to start GoGo Monroe based on drawings that my sister and I create. She draws the most hilarious and cute animals and I wanted to see that work reflected in the items around me. Seeing a mischievous raccoon or pelican on my wallet or funny face mask is like a little wink that there’s humor in everyday situations and elevates an optimistic outlook.
When I was in college I worked at a screenprinting factory and got really inspired by screenprinting. I loved creating copies of my drawings, and repeating patterns. I taught myself how to screenprint at home and started printing fabrics. I started sewing them into coin purses and pencil cases and that’s how GoGo Monroe got started.

The items are sewn in a family-owned sewing studio in Estonia, which means you are supporting ethical working conditions. We are Estonian so we are ecstatic to engage with small businesses in Estonia. Additionally, you’ll feel good knowing you are supporting clean water efforts because the ink printing process inks are free from restricted chemicals. Sustainability and ethical working conditions are our highest concern in manufacturing.
