I am a collector. I really enjoy the thrill of the hunt, the history involved and that JOLT that you get when you find something truly special. Certain things really capture my eye, like the graphics on old sewing patterns, anything and everything that is made out of wood (LOVE Tiger Maple), ornate floral flatware designs and anything regarding old kitchenware ~ especially the sleek lines of quality mid century modern stainless from Denmark, Sweden or Germany.

One of my many passions is collecting antique and vintage flatware ~ sterling, silverplate & stainless. When I was growing up, my mother always had a fork or spoon that she labeled as "special" and all of the kids would invariably fight over who would get the "special fork" or "special spoon". Little did I know, that was the beginning of my passion for old flatware! I can get lost for hours delving through bins of old silverplate searching for beautiful ornate flatware! The blacker my hands are, the happier I am!

I love researching to find out the pattern names, history and the year introduced. This passion & knowledge has enabled me to branch out further by creating unique pendants, key rings and purse key finders out of gorgeous vintage and antique silverplated flatware. I have even taken up several metal - smithing classes to expand my knowledge base.

Finding, creating and passing on for others to enjoy ~ the ultimate in going green! I truly feel that all of my finds and creations have called out to me in some way to rejuvenate and find them a new "life". I especially love to hear my customers stories about why one of my vintage finds or creations is special to them and the connection that they have with it. Memories can be so precious.
