Robert Marks has been headed into the furniture business practically his whole life. When he was a young boy he dreamt of the future being a shiny modern place with flying cars and clean, clean lines. Twin siblings…opposite sides of the country, and both end up in the furniture business. Weird. It’s about trusting the synchronicity.
Robert opened Pastense, one of the first ‘mid century modern’ furniture stores to exist in San Francisco. It began in the Mission and was in fact one of the first hip shops to venture there. Hard to imagine now. (Pastense was included in Diane Dorian Saeks 'Mid Century Modern' book, the first guide to the genre, and was a destination for international collectors.)

His new endeavor is, wild guess…furniture. Beautiful hand made shelving units of the highest quality and smart, clean design – elegance in the structure itself. Something about the satisfaction of dreams full circle…

Returns and exchanges
We carefully inspected all items before leaving our shop. Go-Shelves does not accept returns for any reason other than manufacturer defect or shipping damage. In the event that damage occurs in transit, or if you discover any defect in manufacturing please email us within 48 hours. All returns must be pre-authorized by a Go-Shelves agent, before we will accept any returned item back at the shop.

All products made by Go-Shelves are hand crafted and minor blemishes and imperfections may be visible. These are not considered defects and do not interfere with the quality and function of the product.
MasterCard, and Visa. Checks are accepted but orders will only ship after payment has cleared. When you purchase a product online, your credit card is charged when you order, and your credit card information is never re-used except to issue refunds or make other required adjustments. Custom order(s) require full payment up front, before the product is built.
Our goal is to deliver your purchase as quickly as possible. All orders have a processing time of 48-72 hours if the merchandise is in stock. Deliveries to the 48 contiguous states will be made via USPS, UPS, FedEx or by common carrier depending on size and weight of your order.
In stock orders will be received in 1-2 weeks or sooner with faster shipping method. Tracking numbers will be sent for all UPS and FedEx orders

Order changes and cancellations:

Due to the custom nature of our products, Go-Shelves must specially purchase materials and have products individually assembled according to the specifications of each order. Therefore, once Go-Shelves accepts and invoices an order, it is fully binding and is not subject to cancellation or change by the buyer. This does not mean that it is never possible to cancel or change an order. However, the request must be submitted in writing, approved and acknowledged by us, and may require additional charges for labor, materials and/or other expenses we have incurred.
