It's smaller than I thought it would be- you have to be standing close to see all the details. But I love it.

Very personal and playful graphic novel. Great insights into all aspects of being a woman.

About

Drawn for the Goddess, to the Goddess, and about the Goddess

I'm a New Jersey cartoonist and I make comics about my life as a middle-aged, politically incorrect woman, spouse, and mother of two. Having drawn and written my whole life, I became a cartoonist after experiencing breast cancer in 2004. While recuperating, I discovered graphic novels, and a year later, started my own--about my life and my bout with breast cancer. Two years later, I attended my first comic con, a year later was invited to join the Brooklyn Comix Collective Activate, and in 2010 my webcomic Underwire was published as a collection by Top Shelf. My subsequent webcomic S'Crapbook made the Notables list in the Best American Comics of 2012, and Underwire was selected for publication in the Best American Comics of 2013. My graphic novel--The Story of My Tits--is coming out in 2015 from Top Shelf, and I have been documenting the process of completing it, through publication, as well as all of the things that have distracted me from it, in my online diary comic Rushes, which I self-published in book form (Rushes: A Comix Diary) in 2013.

If you're wondering where the name of my shop comes from, it has to do with my strong attachment to the Goddess, who became important to me in the course of my recovery from breast cancer. No one was more surprised than me (I was raised a religious skeptic), but I have been following her promptings ever since and she hasn't steered me wrong.

Goddess Drawn is a natural progression from my appearances at comic festivals, bringing my table to you. Here are my books, the prints and jewelry I have made from my artwork, and signed original panels. I am adding things slowly, so thanks for your patience. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions!
