Announcement   My listings include upholstry fabric scraps or items made from these scraps. I work for a local office furniture manufacturer. I buy the left over fabric at nearly every employee sale, and my stash has gotten quite large. I'm always looking for ways to reuse these scraps or sale them. I have many pieces that I've not been able to use in my own home decorating. Some of the pieces I make will be pillows, wall organizers, quilts, potholders, etc.

All other crafts made from cotton are made from pre-washed cotton. Most batting used in quilted items is a polyester/cotton blend, unless otherwise specified.

About

My Story

We live on a small family farm where my mother raises her Nigerian Dwarf goats. My children have their 4H projects every year and my husband and Dad help to make sure it all runs smooth. The farm is called Almar Acres in Rathdrum, ID.

We got to the point that we had so many goats that we can't drink enough milk or make enough cheese to consume all the milk. So my mother suggested I try my crafty little hands at soaping. I made my first batch and was hooked. When I used my first bar of goat milk soap I was forever sold on using a homemade soap and not that chemical laden stuff you find in the store.

I also learned years ago to do photo restorations while working at a photography studio. I now do restorations for others as well as making printed photo books with stories. This also played well into my love for genealogy. You will see one of my books on here that I spent years with the help of cousins researching my Jenkins line and then putting it all into a beautiful book. If you are interested in anything similar please just ask.

I grew up watching my mother sew. I swore I'd never be domesticated. Now I want nothing more than the be able to stay home, make soap, sew, cook, clean, tend to our three kids and my wonderful husband.
