Featuring unique fiber keepsakes created from the fleece of our own Suri Alpaca herd.

Welcome to GoldynRaeAlpacaFelt! We have raised Suri Alpacas in Colorado since 2012. Suri alpacas are rare! They produce a long, silky, lustrous fleece with distinct and independent locks.

Alpacas are typically shorn once per year. After our alpacas are safely shorn, we skirt the fleeces to remove debris and then thoroughly wash the fiber. Cleaning each individual lock and felting Suri fiber is time consuming but worth it! Raising these beautiful animals has provided inspiration to create unique fiber keepsakes for all to enjoy.

My mom (who is in her late 80's) lives on the farm and is part of our production effort. We are transitioning from breeding and showing to a focus on fiber arts. All of our products are handmade on the Goldyn Rae Alpacas farm.

Our focus is to offer a collectable that highlights the beauty and uniqueness of Suri Alpaca fiber.
