A Small Growing Geeky Flower
I started back in 2011 sewing pokemon plushies. As it would turn out though, sewing plushies can be hard and the people who want them generally don't want to pay what you need to make any profit from it. (no offense meant to them at all) My plushies were well put together and cute but I spent way too long making a single one. My goal then changed to hat making, particularly those of the MLP variety. But, as fate would have it, I didn't get my change to start those until July of 2012. Fascinating story I know.
Its a good thing I waited though. I now have more experience and I have a great hat pattern which didn't have when I started the shop.

Currently I am a Grad Student studying archives/library science. In my free time though I do a lot of things from creative writing to, you guessed it, making items for my store. I pride myself in a quick turn around for purchased items.
Mascot, Sewing Assistant
Zoe is the small golem doll I made from fabric, love and most importantly, geekiness. She's the icon of the shop and she's on my business cards. Whats she do besides all that? Well, she holds my sewing tomato.

As for tax, I operate out of MA which exempts tax on clothing under 175 dollars.
Additional policies and FAQs
Also, when I receive shipping overages my policy is to refund money to the whole dollar amount I was over paid. With Etsy, when you purchase over two items, the system Etsy uses can start to charge more than necessary. So, I refund those overages.
