About

Hand Knit & Stitch by Kim Konen

Hi, I'm Kim! I want you to feel like this today: warm, messy, hopeful and funny.

Thoughtful design inspires each one of my products. As my story evolves, so do my designs. I make things that align with my lifestyle, reflect positivity and make you feel good.

I've had a couple of kids lately! My son is 3 and my daughter is a little baby. My family and I recently moved from New York City to a small town in Wisconsin surrounded by big family farms. I really like it here.

My goal is to inspire you to make simple gifts and necessities with your own hands. You can make it beautiful. I am a self-taught maker and have been designing and making patterns for nearly 20 years. I have years of professional experience building costumes for Broadway shows and the Thanksgiving Macy's Day Parade but my real passion is running my Etsy shop. From 2010 to 2014, I worked at Etsy's headquarters in Brooklyn.

Sizing details

Hand Knit Winter Pom Pom Hats

Each hat is designed and hand knit by me. Every kid's head is different in size and I keep that in mind when knitting and sizing. To ensure that your hat will fit, I highly recommended that you measure the recipient's head before completing the purchase.

1. Measure the crown of the head.
2. Measure on top of the head from ear to ear.
3. Compare these measurements to the measurements of the hat provided in each individual listing.

Gift wrapping and packaging

All items come gift wrapped in recycled packing paper with string. I try to use all recycled materials when packing to reduce our carbon footprint.
