The idea of these bracelets came as a result of learning about the sacrifice beads that were an integral part of the spiritual training of Saint Therese of Lisieux, also known as "The Little Flower".
Saint Therese has been an inspirational leader in my spiritual life, constantly cheering me on to accept myself for who I am and to continue to strive to become closer to the person God made me to be. Her theology is one of never-ending love and understanding all broken down to our tiniest choices during our day.
The uses of a Good Deed Beads bracelet are as varied as the people who wear them. When I first began I had three girls three years old and under. It was exhausting! I was so tired of laundry, diapers and dinner I thought I would lose my mind. Then, at the suggestion of a priest friend, I began using beads to count the diapers I changed...out of love....and the dinners I made...out of love....and the laundry I ,folded, - again...out of love. All of these choices that once seemed meaningless were offered up as a prayer - begging God for answers to some tough decisions my husband and I were making in our lives. The direction came and the doors opened in such a miraculous way I was certain that by constantly checking in and listening for the prompting of the Holy Spirit, my husband and I were able to understand God's will for our lives. It was when I stopped worrying about the future or second guessing the past that I was able to be in the present moment and receive the grace of God. Wearing the bracelet and looking for opportunities to move a bead kept my focus in a positive direction. Often we get swept away with our big plans. We get so caught up in our goals that we forget to continually check in with the one who is really in charge. By staying plugged in through the little promptings we receive each day we forgo the dead ends, frustration and anxiety that comes from guiding a ship in the dark. Instead, we are fully aware of what we are being asked to do - NOW. That is enough. By following the crumbs along the path we are guided by the one who cares the most about our soul. Sometimes the tasks we are asked to do will be difficult. Often they will pull us out of our comfort zone and make us grow in ways that we may never have imagined, but as my wise Great-Aunt once told me, "Once you let Jesus drive the bike all you have to do is ride the handlebars and hold on!" Life will never be boring again.

4 out of 5 starsLove love love this! I’ve often wanted a sacrifice chain I can keep with me somehow! The fact that this is a bracelet makes it easy to have with me at all times, to remind me to make sacrifices. My only concern is that the metal part of the bracelet looks very delicate and somewhat cheap. I hope it doesn’t rip off or break, but I suspect some day it will. If only this could be made of stronger material or reinforced somehow, this bracelet would be perfect! Thanks for helping me grow in my faith with the tools you’ve made!

5 out of 5 starsBeautiful! As a busy lady (aren’t we all) I wish there was a way to make these with elastic/stretch bracelet versus a clasp...but it’s definitely my favorite piece of jewelry! Thank you!
