Jess made a custom piece for us, and it was absolutely beautiful - 2 hearts for my spouse and me, and a puzzle piece for our 3 yr old daughter that fits into either heart. It was a lovely gift that we were able to give our daughter. Jess turned the order around quickly, and thanks to expedited shipping, we received the order well in advance of when we needed it. I plan on ordering more pieces from Jess in the future. 5 stars!

I didn't ever imagine I would be running my own jewellery business, it wasn't something I planned at all!
In 2011 I wanted my dad who used to be a silversmith, to help me make a pendant for a friend for Christmas, he hadn't been in the trade for over 20 years by this point so it was a nice chance for him to do some odd jewellery jobs on the side again.
I came up with a simple design of a heart shaped pendant, with my friend and her son's names hand cut into the side of the heart (if you look in my personalised section you will see this design in there somewhere). It was the first time I had ever picked up a jewellers saw, so the letters were certainly larger than you would receive them today, and probably a lot more wobbly, but I loved it, and so did my friend. I proudly showed off the pendant before I gave it to her, and it was because of this that another friend asked to buy one. I was surprised and very excited because at the time I was in a job that wasn't making me happy or keeping me fulfilled and I'd spent years wondering what I was going to do with my life.
I made my other friend a similar pendant, and showed that off at work, one by one each pendant I made brought in another customer, usually friends and colleagues, then eventually after sneakily showing off the pendants to customers at my old job, they also started to put in orders, now I was running a small hobby/business while working at my job.
As I got better at making the jewellery I found I wasn't enjoying working my job as well as trying to find the time I needed to make jewellery, so in 2012 I quit my day job. I have been running Gorjess Jewellery full time ever since, and have not once looked back!

I would prefer if you could leave a note and confirm your shipping name and address when you checkout, otherwise I will go by the name and address on your PayPal account.
Due to the Canadian postal strike I will not be able to ensure delivery on shipments sent out past the last ship dates suggested by Canada Post. Consult the Canada Post strike updates page to view the last day to ensure delivery for each shipping service, but please bear in mind I would like at least 1-3 weeks to make and post your item, then I usually give a time frame of 1-4 weeks for delivery anyway.

I will aim to have your pendant ready for posting as soon as possible, but as a lot of my pendants are personalised to each customer then you must allow me time to make the product to my high standard before it can be posted. I will keep you informed of when it is finished and posted.
I ship with Royal Mail. If you require special shipping, perhaps a courier, contact me here or at super-gorjess [!at] hotmail.co.uk before you buy and I will find you prices and set up the appropriate listing.
For UK postage I will be using Special Delivery, they say it should arrive with you the next day and is insured, trackable and signed for.
For everywhere else I will be using International Signed for, which includes insurance, signature upon receiving and is able to be tracked and can take anything up to four weeks.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you receive an item and aren't happy with the quality, or it is faulty, you will have 14 days to send it back to me for a full refund including the postage for returning it, please contact me at super-gorjess [!at] hotmail.co.uk if you need to return an item.
REFUNDING OF POSTAGE FOR RETURNED ITEM
I will only be able to refund your postage if you get and keep a postage receipt, please email a copy of the receipt to super-gorjess [!at] hotmail.co.uk
Please get trackable postage and use a padded envelope. If the item arrives damaged to me due to bad packaging I won't be able to issue a full refund.
REFUNDING OF ITEM/S
I will issue a refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item or evidence that the item has been shipped back to the correct address.

REFUNDING OF CUSTOMISED ITEMS
If you want to return a personalised/custom item because you don't like it I will refund you for the item less 25%, but not the cost of posting it to me.
If the personalised/custom item is faulty or you aren't happy with the quality I will refund you for the whole cost including the returned postage once I have received and inspected it and will supply a replacement instead of a refund if you request a replacement, please contact me before you return it so we can arrange this.
BUYERS FROM OUTSIDE OF THE UK
If you need to return an item please make sure you mark it as a returned item if you need to fill out a custom form, otherwise I may have to pay some custom fees which I will take out of your refund (the custom charges can be expensive, the item is being returned to me, so it must be marked as this to avoid fees).
POSTAGE MADE MY ITEM LATE
If you have ordered something that you needed by a certain date but postage delays meant it arrived late, I will only be able to refund it if you DON'T have any personalisation on it and if you follow the steps above about returning it to me.
Any items that have been opened by the customer before being returned automatically have 10% taken off the refund as a restocking fee, not including returns for damaged or incorrect orders.
