Such a beautiful little basket! I was concerned at first about the beads being toward the bottom of the basket, but realized it gives the agate the look of an evil eye amulet. I love it!

Gourd & Wood Whimsies is a one man operation with great love for natural products coming together into one of kind pieces. I love working with gourds, wood, and pine needles. More recently I have found resin and agate great compliments to my art pieces.

I started about 30 years ago with oil painting, and over the years have taken many classes in painting, woodcarving, gourd art, and more recently pine needle coiling. I love how my pieces blend together as they evolve. I never know how they will end up until they are done. I let the gourd, the agate, and other natural materials lead the way.
