This pouch is beautiful and was made really well. I bought one for myself and one as a gift...let's just say I will buy more for my crafty friends.

Such a darling little pouch. Perfectly holds all of my stitch markers and small notions.

Updates

So... I'm making a new set of round zipper pouches, but chief tester Koshka thinks it should be bathtime instead...
Sprocket always knows when I'm playing with ribbon (AKA packing an order) and wants to make sure if I'm sharing he's in on it.
Koshka is helping me pack up a yarn holder to send out today. . .

About

Love cats? Love knitting or crocheting? Want to combine the two? Want to keep them apart?

I know not all yarn people are cat people, but if that describes you, you're in the right place. I make knitting tools and things to hold knitting tools and supplies. And many of those tools either feature cats or are to prevent cat interference.

I started making these bags and holders because store-bought ones just didn't work for me. Some of that is because too many of those things are pink and flowery. (Not that there's anything wrong with pink or flowery! Give me the -right- pink and the -right- flowery and even I will use it!) Some of that is because the way I like to work seems to be different from the typical yarn tool designer's idea of how I should work. And in some cases, because cats: both trying to exclude the cats from the yarn, and to have cats on my knitting stuff. (There's not nearly enough cats on commercially available knitting stuff!)

I'll get ideas for what I make in different ways, but often I start with a problem I'm having managing my yarn or my tools, and try to come up with a solution that works and is fun too. Sometimes I start with cats and work backwards.

My cats are my "helpers". Koshka especially takes great joy in testing my prototypes for me, and she assumes if it's round (no matter how big!), I'm making a toy for her. Not to worry though, I take precautions to prevent her from "helping" me with items I intend to put up for sale. Sprocket has little interest in what I make, but loves to hang out with me while I work.

    Owner, Creator, Designer

I started knitting when I was 7 or 8, but didn't really get into it for about 12 years or so. I've tried all kinds of crafts for as long as I can remember, and I've found that combining media (or using one to aid another) is lots of fun.

  • Koshka

    Chief Prototype Tester

Koshka is four years old, and loves anything I make she can sit in, and she thinks anything round I make must be a fetch toy for her.

  • Sprocket

    Chief Leg Hugger

Sprocket doesn't have much interest in the products, but he is great company. He comes to hug my legs while I'm working.

Items will be shipped after payment clears.
Shipping
Shipping is by First Class Mail through USPS, unless a package is particularly large/heavy. Packages will include tracking information.

For buyers within the United states, there are no additional shipping charges on your order, except for large or heavy items. Packages often arrive quickly, usually within 3 to 5 days.

For buyers outside the United States, Etsy will calculate the shipping price for you based on your location. If the shipping costs less than what you paid I will refund the difference, if the difference is at least $1. International shipping usually takes 1 to 4 weeks, though on rare occasions, going through customs can delay a package an additional 6 weeks. Please be aware that there may be customs fees or duties on your package, and you will need to pay for these.

I will contact you when I ship your package with the tracking information. If there will be a delay in shipping I will contact you as soon as possible and keep you updated.

You might notice that the box or envelope your package comes in is not brand new. We like to reuse envelopes and boxes that are clean and in good condition when possible.

PDF patterns do not include a shipping charge and are available for download soon after purchase, usually immediately. If you need your patterns delivered another way (emailed or printed), please contact me to arrange the details.
Refunds and Exchanges
We do our best to take photos of our items that accurately represent them, and thoroughly describe each item in the listing. Please be aware that colors may vary between monitors. Many of our items are one of a kind, and the photo shows the item you will receive. When several of the same item are available, individual items may vary slightly from the photograph because each one is handmade.

If you do need to return an item, please contact us to arrange the details within 14 days of receipt. If you have simply changed your mind, you pay return shipping, and we will refund the original purchase price as soon as we receive it. If we made a mistake or the item is damaged or defective, we will pay for you to ship the item back to us for repair, exchange, or refund.

PDF patterns cannot be returned, so purchases of patterns cannot be refunded once you have downloaded the files. We clearly mark these as patterns and not physical items in the description. You will need a program that can open PDF files to read the pattern, such as Adobe Reader (available as a free download: http://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/).
Additional policies and FAQs
Items that can fit in an envelope to ship are wrapped in turquoise paper with white polka dots, or white paper with turquoise polka dots, and turquoise and white ribbon. Larger items will ship in a small box with white tissue paper with turquoise polka dots. If you would like we can also include a note to the recipient from you; just leave a note in the 'notes to seller' box when you check out.

Wrapping paper is made of 90% recycled material, tissue paper is 100% recycled. Small shipping boxes are made of recycled material as well.

Privacy Policy: information you provide to make your purchase will only be used to contact you about your order, fill your order, and for legal purposes (such as for paying taxes).

Please note that all items are made in a smoke-free and cat-filled environment. I take great care to keep the chief product tester from lying on or carrying around your items (and the chief leg hugger knows his job well and sticks to it) but I'm afraid your order may escape from the workshop with some cat hair on it.
