I purchased this brooch as a gift for my friend who loves to sew and knit. It arrived nicely packaged and exactly as shown. Very pretty and I love the sewers tape detailing. It will look great on her fall jacket. Lovely.

About

Supporting My "Habit"...One Bracelet at a Time

It is a JOY to create "pretties" of all kinds! I've focused on making jewelry mostly because I can't get enough of it myself! Thus the need to support my "habit"! :) But I also enjoy card making, crocheting, and quilting. And I can't wait to see where the next idea takes me!

I think my real passion in crafting is in combining as many of the above creative outlets as possible into one piece of jewelry! Think of it - we're made in God's image. He's the ultimate Creator. It should be no surprise that His kids find such satisfaction in creating, too!

While my hubby and I were missionaries in Mongolia, the Mongolian women taught me much about creativity, recycling, upcycling, and thinking "outside of the box". You'll see bits and pieces of them and their creativity in many of my pieces.

With each piece of jewelry I make, YOU, the buyer, are prayed for, that you would totally enjoy your new purchase for years to come, and that you would be filled with His peace and joy!

Thanks for being part of my story! It's a true pleasure to serve you!

No matter what I'm creating - be it jewelry, cards, quilts or something crocheted - it is an expression of a life lesson I've learned to appreciate...a pile of stones in the wilderness to remind me of Whose I am and why I'm here.

Welcome to The Grand Fern Alley! I hope you have a "grand" time perusing all my made-with-love goodies. It truly is my pleasure and delight to create something you will enjoy.

My hubby, kids & I lived in Mongolia for over 16 years, so you'll see bits and pieces of Genghis Khan here & there in my pretties! During those years of travel, God's creativity became my inspiration...and still is. My hope is that the jewelry I make for Him will reflect His awesome out-of-the-box-ness!

If you see something you like, but it's not the right size or color(s), click the "Contact" button, and I'll see what I can do to make something you'll love to wear or use!

I appreciate it when others communicate clearly with me, so please be on the lookout for convos from me, as I want both of us to have satisfying purchases and sales. Happy customers is my goal!
Shipping
Thanks to a postage price increase at the beginning of 2013, I've had to increase foreign shipping by quite a bit. If I had carrier pigeons, I'd use them, folks!

I will ship all packages by 1st class mail in a bubble pack envelope well padded for the safety of your purchased items. All U.S. shipments will include USPS Delivery Confirmation and Tracking. If you would like to add insurance to the price of your purchase, please contact me in "Note to Seller" as you check out, and I'll add the cost of those to the price of the item(s).

For my foreign buyers, I can also include tracking and insurance for an additional cost. Please contact me in "Note to Seller" as you check out, and I'll add that cost to the total cost.

For foreign purchasers, any customs taxes, fees, etc. will be paid by you.

I will do my very best to ship your package out within 1 to 3 days of my receiving payment, and I'll let know know when I have through an etsy conversation.
Refunds and Exchanges
My hope is to have a trail of happy, well-accessorized shoppers following me. So, if you feel I've misrepresented the item you purchased, or it breaks under normal wear & tear (does not include children playing tug-of-war with it or dogs chewing on it...you get the idea), please let me know within two weeks of purchase by email or etsy conversation. We will discuss where we go from there.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Additional policies and FAQs
As a business I am required to collect sales tax from buyers located in Pennsylvania. At checkout, a sales tax of 6% will be added to PA residents only!
