LOVE this pattern! Nothing could be faster to make and the creative options are endless. Do wish the pattern was commercially available again as I think it would be popular. Delighted to have found it on Etsy since my original one is hiding in my stash. Service could not have been faster. I am one very happy quilter!
Nice quality! Cute top. Thanks!
Very cute! Lovely quality.
Good quality towel and cute top. Fast delivery. Thanks.
Grandma Lindas House - The Joy of Creating For Children
When I was in grade school I learned to sew on my grandmother's old Singer sewing machine which my grandfather had converted to electricity from the old treadle. That was the start of my life long love of with those old machines with their ornate cabinets and beautiful black janpanning.
When I got married my first purchase was a brand-new, state of the art Singer sewing machine which used discs that had to be changed for different stitches. I continued to use that machine until shortly before I opened my Etsy shop in 2008 when I purchased a new machine that could handle all of my sewing needs.
When my children were small my husband worked the night shift and since I'm not a big TV watcher I tried a number of crafts to keep myself occupied. I painted dozens of ceramic Christmas ornaments which we still love and use. Then it was on to macrame. Thankfully, there are no remnants of that hobby remaining. Finally, my neighbor whose husband also worked nights, shared babysitting expenses with me and we took a once a week crocheting class at the local technical college. I have been crocheting ever since!
Finally, about 15 years ago I tried my hand at cross-stitch. I love watching the picture emerge from all those tiny stitches. These days I don't have as much time to devote to it as I would like, but on nice summer days I like to sit on the deck, watching the birds at the feeders and work on a cross stitch project.
When my husband and I retired and moved to our condo in a smaller community, my son suggested I try opening an Etsy shop. He had heard about it from a woman he worked with who had a shop. I decided to give it a try and haven't stopped since. I've met some wonderful people here, both other shop owners and customers, who have become friends.
I decided to call my shop Grandma Lindas House because I adore my grandchildren, love being a grandma and the majority of my creations are geared toward children.
I will be adding photos in the very near future so stop by again.
