About me:
I graduated college with a B.F.A. in 2007, but had no desire to sell art commercially. I was burnt out on "art" and websites such as ETSY were just getting started. I worked various non-art jobs and moved around the country for seven years. After my recent move back to San Diego, I felt like the time was right to try to sell art. My goal is to earn supplemental income and someday transform "creating" into a full-time job.

My craft:
I create all of my art completely by hand from start to finish. I strive to master the craft of art through diligence, research, and the use of high-quality materials. I understand that I am selling a product, not just a concept. I always try to use the most professional methods established by contemporary artists. In doing so, I hope to create beautiful art that will stand the test of time. All of my art is made with conservation in mind. For example, my paintings are made with professional quality canvas and paints. Afterward, they are sealed with a removable varnish. This combination assures the piece will last and allows it to be easily restored should the need ever arise.

My inspiration:
I take my inspiration from the world. I enjoy nature, especially things that are superlatives - the biggest, fastest, most bizarre. I also love bright colors, mixing texture, layers, and randomness. As an artist, I am constantly experimenting and evolving. I'm not comfortable repainting the same thing in the same way over and over again. Because of this, I enjoy mastering new techniques and materials.

Additional policies and FAQs
I retain all copyrights to my work. Images should not to be duplicated without my written consent.

All of my paintings are ready to hang and oriented as seen in the pictures. If you desire a different orientation contact me after your purchase and I will be happy to move the mounting hardware free of charge.

Also, all of my paintings are varnished to ensure their longevity. I chose the sheen of varnish I feel best fits the piece (gloss vs satin vs matte). If you prefer a different varnish contact me and I will change it free of charge. However, this will add an additional 3-4 days of handling time before I can ship the artwork.
