5 out of 5 starsThis is so cool. Wow is all I gotta say!! So we didn’t do the wet bar thing (hey, walk around the corner here, there’s your water [its in the bathroom] 😂😂🙌) BUT we have evoked the feeling for HEY “this is a wet bar area”, a party room, a football game room, a gathering of friends room. This little thing helped. We really like it ♥️🌹
We sure do need to put more wine in there before we show our home to prospective buyers...yes I know that. We are drinking the rest right now. Need to contact our wine club 😂😂😂 -

4 out of 5 starsOverall we are happy with the wine rack; shipped and arrived on time which is always a plus for furniture. When we received we didn’t realize not only does it come with nothing to mount but you have to drill through the piece per the instructions. Also there were splats of grey paint (ordered grey color) on the back. The front looked beautiful, but from the back it looked like it had been thrown together from a pallet haphazardly. For $99 not what we were expecting, but once up it looked beautiful and fit with the room.

Great Lakes Reclaimed comes from an appreciation of the Great Lakes and Reclaimed Lumber.
Great Lakes Reclaimed was started by my wife Lisa and I in the summer of 2012. Lisa is from Petoskey, Michigan and grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan. Being a builder I have reclaimed lumber from remodel and renovations jobs I have done for customers. We decided to combine our love for the Great Lakes and reclaimed lumber to create products to sell.
Quality is a big deal for us. Our reputation online and locally is a high quality product. If you check out our reviews you will see that this is an underlying theme that continues to permeate what we build here in Northern Michigan. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your unit let us know and we will make it right.
This summer of 2014 we moved our shop and home base back to Petoskey, Michigan. It has been great getting back to the waters of the Great Lakes and rekindling old friendships. We have been able to lease a 1600 sf shop in downtown Petoskey. It has been wonderful to have a lot more room to work and store our inventory.
We do sell out of our new shop here in Petoskey. You can find us at 1008 Franklin Street. We are in the old Bay Beverage Building, 3rd door on the far left. Give us a call or just stop in. We are always available during work hours Monday thru Friday 8-4.

Jim Millen
Owner, Builder And Designer
I have been a custom builder, cabinet maker, finish carpenter since 1985. I love working with my hands and creating things out of wood. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than taking a pile of lumber and making a cool product.

Owner, Designer, Marketer
I am finding great joy in taking my art/design experience from years in the building trades to the home decor arena. Focusing on the simplicity of natural materials I strive to create pieces that are functional but not lacking in beauty or style.

Lead Shop Craftsman
Being a contractor’s son in Montana I have always been in some form of woodworking. I love the shop environment where I can see the character of the wood before me with all its imperfections and envision its transformation into a finished product.
Shop policies
My wife Lisa and I are both hands on creative people. With my main occupation as a builder, finish carpenter I have always had a shop. Over the years I have been continually asked to make custom cabinets, benches, bars, furniture for jobs, etc. Lisa is an artist, graphic designer and has always come up with ideas for me to build. Our home is filled with gun cabinets, blanket chests, wine racks, Windsor chairs, wicker furniture and many other things she has designed that I have built, reclaimed and finished. From this partnership we formed Great Lakes Reclaimed.
We are from Petoskey, Michigan in the heart of the Great Lakes.

Additional policies and FAQs
Many of my items are distressed and antiqued for an aged, vintage finish. All are hand cut, left in their natural state or hand painted or stained. On occasion we will leave the nails in place but in most cases finish screws with glue will be used to secure a piece. No two are exactly alike. Some will be lighter in color and others will be darker in color. Please read each item description carefully and convo with me if you have any questions about a particular piece or you want a unit to be darker or lighter in color. We can hand select the wood to accommodate a need to match a room or other furniture. BUT you must communicate that within 24 hours from the time of purchase. We have a lot of wood we sort thru on a daily basis and use what comes across the shop tables to build the units. Unless there is a specific request for color and/or texture we will build your unit by random selection of the materials on hand.
Custom orders are most definitely welcome! Please contact us with your personal request.
