4 out of 5 starsVery unique and surprising to find a blanket with the lake I grew up going to in a very small town that is very close to my family for generations. Only thing is that there was a misspelled word on it, but it isnt the biggest deal. Love it

"The cartographer draws the map, the artist makes it beautiful."- The Vatican Art Collection
Great River Arts/ Great River Maps started its journey in 2006 when I began restoring and painting historical French maps of the Mississippi River. Art collectors and interior designers loved the subtle enchantment of the gently painted maps, and demand for my restored and painted historic maps quickly spread across the country.
My historical map collection rapidly developed into custom map services for private estates, resorts, lakes, public lands, and regional attractions—all with the vintage charm of my earlier works, applying borders, cartouches, and fonts found in historic maps from the 1850’s and earlier.
Each piece of art created by me is the result of an in-depth, collaborative process between cartographers, architects, colorists and professional researchers. As constant traveler, I continue to paint originals and work with my design team from the road and my home base near Glacier National Park, Montana. I pursues new map suggestions and collaborations every day. Please stay updated on my newest maps and travels at facebook.com/greatriverarts!
