How it all began
I started making these bags in the fall of 2008 after racking my brain to come up with something unique that I could do as a side business. I was working as a counselor and teacher during the day and creativity has always been a passion and outlet of mine. For 12 years ( and occasionally still) I had done murals and faux finishes. Then I had children and scheduling was difficult as well as the economy. I made jewelry as well, although highly competitive. Then someone got me a Starbucks purse and I had seen Capri Sun ones and so it clicked. So now I have to add I WAS NOT THE FIRST ONE TO COME UP WITH THIS! but I have come up with many of the alternate designs besides the basic Starbucks purse and Capri Sun purse. I get my bags from random people that are passionate about recycling. I still work full time and this is a late at night gig when I have time but dream of making it a full time gig!
